Clean comfortable hotel very close to all attractions and shopping in Zurich, breakfast not great value and little variety. Overall great hotel that you would come back to.

Generally, I was satisfied with this hotel. Everything was fine, only few mineses: one day the staff forgot to put in my barthroom a soap and shower gel, and at the last day of my staying, the brakfast were served very, very slow.All the res was absolutely good.

If you travel Europe often, you know the shock of a noisy hotel. This hotel is the exact opposite. It prides itself on quiet.The rooms, though small are very clean and well appointed. The breakfast is not to be missed

This hotel was simply fabulous. It is in a great location in the central part of Zurich, it has a lovely traditional Swiss character without being kitschy and the rooms were clean and very comfortable to sleep in. The aspect that really sets this hotel apart, though, is its customer service--staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. We arrived at 9am and they already had rooms ready for us. They suggested a touring route for us and even purchased tram tickets for us so we wouldn't have to worry about how to get tickets. They also allowed us to park our rental car in the parking lot for free while we packed our luggage. The noon checkout is also a bonus. Overall, highly recommended.

I stayed in Hotel Continental for 2 nights recently, and would recommend it for its good service and location. When I arrived at the hotel near noon on 30 April, the friendly lady at the reception voluntarily gave me a room upgrade at no extra cost. The room that was allocated to me was very spacious and clean (with the exception of the layers of dust that was attached to the memo pad and the pen that was placed on the side desk beside the bed). Before venturing out of the hotel, I had asked about the use of the internet at the business centre, and for directions to the old town, and the young lady (with long blond hair) at the reception was very helpful. Later that night, I had another pleasant encounter with a bespectacled male staff (with comb-back hair) when I asked for details of the day trips available. The young man was well-informed and was very professional. My room was quiet at night although it was facing the street and this is a big plus but the pillows were too soft for my liking. The housekeeping service could also be improved - the toilet rolls in the bathroom were not replenished on the second day of my stay. Further, I found 2 magnetic cards in the card reader on 2 separate occasions when I returned to my room which should be left behind by the housekeeping staff.

As for your comments about the housekeeping, I would like to apologize for your inconveniences. I will talk to the housekeeper about the cleanliness control as well as the restocking, as this is certainly not our standard of service. Regarding the key cards the housekeepers most likely belived the card to be the second guest key card and left it where they thought you as the guest put it. This was the best hotel I've stayed in in Europe. It was wonderful! I would highly recommend. The service was terrific and the room was wonderful with inlaid wood furniture and an extremely comfortable king size bed.

In Zurich for 4 days. Hotel convenient to Zurich Central station, with tram nearby and an easy walk from station if weather is good. Small hotel, small lobby, more "inn" decor than city hotel. Clean and neat. On first night, could not get any late night service help from Front Desk for a wake up call and missed my early morning train. Immediate 1 or 2 block area is very mundane, no nearby restaurants. Did not try hotel restaurant. Staff was friendly, location secure, no traffic noise.

Great hotel. Fantastic service from all staff - porters, check in, bar staff, house maids. All very very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with.Not in the absolute heart of all tourist things to do, but a short walk from everything.We had a great stay and would happily go back.

Nice people, good bed and short walk to Zurich HB - of course it is clean, it is Zurich. Room was small but OK for one person one night.Breakfeast was not included and not cheap - but tasted good.Quite a few restaurants and interesting shops nearby.

We recently stayed at the CONTINENTAL in Zurich which we booked direct with Accorr.We we upgraded on arrival and were very happy with everything.The only suggestion that I could make and this is not just to the hotel but hotels and restaurants in general is the price of wine.To charge 55 euros for a bottle that we can buy for 10 is ridiculous and that is why you hardly see anyone with a bottle at their table.I thik you should all look at this.It is so obvious that if you reduced the price more people would order the wine and you would make more money.These days price dictates most things!I hope this helps you with your planning for 2012.
