"Journey to Portugal"

Pleasant and convenient hotel for an overnight stop on route from Uk to Portugal by car, just off the motorway. Snack meal menu at bar was modest, breakfast is self-service and choice this year was limited compared to previous visit.

Ideal location, within walking distance of the Futuroscope theme park. Found the staff to be very friendly and we enjoyed a good breakfast. Excellent value, clean accomodation, ideal for a short stay.

Hotel was a short stroll from futuroscope. Also a bus stop with regular cheap service to poitiers city centre is close by.Room was clean and tidy and to Ibis usual standards.Hotel is conveniently located close to the motorway.Happy with our choice.
"IBIS FUTUROSCOPE - GREAT POSITION FOR PARK"

The Ibis is a medium price range hotel and although there is a swimming pool, this would be disappointingly small, so don't choose this one for the pool. However, it is very conveniently situated, near the motorway exit. This is useful if you're arriving late, as we did. (If you're going to arrive late, phone to let them know, in case your room gets released.) The hotel is also an easy walk to the Futuroscope entrance, leaving the hotel by the back door and taking the path going to the left.Buffet meals are reasonably priced and there should be something to suit everyone. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Only problem - if you leave anything in the security lockers in the lobby, make sure the light against your number shows it is in use, before you leave. It was fortunate that we're honest people, as we were able to access a locker that should have been left locked, but the person had obviously not checked the door was secure. There's nothing the staff can do about this.I would certainly recommend the hotel if you were planning a stop off during travelling or intend to spend a couple of days at Futuroscope.

We booked this hotel for its proximity to the motorway, and because it had a restaurant. We were on our return drive from an extended stay in Southern Spain, and were continuing on to England the next day. We did not want to go exploring, we simply wanted to chill out, have dinner in the hotel and get going again early the next morning.On arival we asked to book in for dinner, to be told the restaurant was closed. The bar maid said there were plenty of places to eat 5 minutes up the road. After driving 5 minutes up the road I found myself in the middle of an industrial estate! Fortunately there was a Novotel very close by, where we were able to have dinner, and where the staff were exceptionaly helpful and friendly.
