"A lovely hotel with gorgeous food"

The food in the restaurant is wonderful as was the friendly service. My only regret is that the swimming pool wasnt open in March, it all looked so inviting

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We stayed here because it looked the best of the Clermont hotels. We checked in and were put on the 2nd floor. I called reception to say that there was no electric jug to make a coffee. They said that the second floor had a power problem and all jugs had been removed. So I requested a different room and after being told they would bring me hot water whenever I needed it they finally agreed to give me a room on the third floor. Like some French hotels dogs are allowed in the rooms. Dogs barked all night and reception said that this was acceptable. Kids were running up and down the hall way and the restaurant was a mess. The breakfast was a slopped up mess with the scrambled egg looking noting like egg. I asked for a boiled egg and they refused point blank. This hotel is a real shocker.

Hotel location was great driving from Spain to UK and just off the highway and easy to find. Hotel has a nice outdoor pool but needs to be warm enough to use it! Restaurant and service was very good. Rooms very clean. We always try to book Novotel if possible as they easily accommodate 4 people per room.

Stayed here on way back from the south of France with husband and 3 children. We have stayed at several Novotel hotels and this was the standard layout however I did feel that this Hotel looked as though it needed a bit of a refurb. The woodwork and walls in the corridor and in our room needed a lick of paint/varnish as well as new carpet. Also the sealant around the bath was starting to go mouldy in places. We did however have a great night sleep as we always do at Novotel hotels which is why we choose them, especially when there's a long drive ahead the next day. Also the breakfast was the usual standard - croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, cake, meats, cheeses, cereals, jams, different types of tea, juices and hot food consisting of sausages, bacon, scrambled egg and fried potatoes.Would go back as the hotel is in a good spot for returning from the south of France, not far from the A75. However if the Hotel isn't refurbished soon, I might reconsider.
"Good stopover"

Used this and other Novotels to travel across France and Spain. This was a convenient stop near motorway, but any road noise didn't disturb us. Parking in car park outside hotel. Had a nice pool/terrace area, although we didn't have time to use it, with plenty of grass for children to run around on. Nice views of hills behind pool area. Had good dinner and average breakfast in restaurant. Visited Clermont Ferrand in morning and had lunch there. Pleasant pedestrianised streets near Cathedral and fountain with some nice shops. Ok for quick visit.
"Great overnight stay on our way to the south"

This hotel provides great value for money. And is an excellent resting place if you are traveling south with small children. Although the pool is rather small, it is the ideal way to refresh after a day in the car.We were so happy with the hotel that we stayed over at the same place on our way back.
