"Needed some peace and quiet at a hotel"

Went to the Novotel at Birmingham airport for a couple of night to chill out and have some room service. Saw some bits and pieces in the area and generally relaxed in the hotel.Excellent service and personnel.

"great hotel"

Got a great deal at this hotel for an airport stopover,room was clean & comfortable, no noise despite aircraft, close to arrivals & departures no extra transport required to get to it, great food, excellent service from the staff. Will use it again.

Very good service, thoughtful staff. The hotel has all amentiies, safe, minibar, kettle, good breakfast, comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful. Only criticism, usually there is a bath and a shower, this time only a shower and the water was not very hot.

A good hotel to stay for travelling from BHX. Room was of a good standard and staff were friendly and helpful.As it was the International Spring fair at the NEC the room price was really hiked up hence the low rating for value for money. However, I knew the rate before I booked and no-one twisted my arm to stay there.

Up to 3 people max 2 adults*extra charge.You can claim for as long as you want that it's not included in the price - what is written is something completely different. After discussing with your staff I still can't get your way of writing? Should I "guess" that the bed is also to be used after an extra charge? Or the hair dryer after an extra charge?I could be happy if it stated "broadband connection" - that means the Internet Access is chargeable. Now it is actually stating "Internet Access" - that means I should have access to the Internet.Internet Access - cost extra.

"excellent stay"

We were travelling very early from the airport and needed a hotel nearby. You can't get closer than the Novotel - 50 yds from the terminal. Access from the railway station by overhead train link - hotel just across from the terminal. Staff were friendly, rooms large, clean, en-suite. Restaurant menu - lots of choice for both adults and children. We will use this hotel whenever we have an early departure - or late arrival from Birmingham.

"A very convenient hotel"

This hotel is very handy for the NEC, The reception staff are extremely helpful, willing to help with any problem. The only minus was that the carpet in the room was badly stained and could do with being replaced.

"Good functional hotel"

Stayed here with the family (2 children aged 7 and 10 years) on Boxing Day evening. Only real reason to chose this hotel outside we often stay in Novotels with the family was due to an early flight on the Thursday. Price was very good at 65 GBP although restuarant was not open due to time of the year although we could eat in the bar area.

Stayed here because it is next door to the airport. Rooms okay but nothing amazing. Food good and 24hr room service very convenient. Reception staff very friendly. No wifi in rooms which is not convenient.

"Christmas trip yo lap land"

Great locationService, ok waited ages for the meal which was expensive for what it was.Value ok but paid for an executive room which was very small, when asked to be moved to a larger room I was informed all rooms were the same size?Main bed very nice, pull out bed very uncomfortable.

"Convenient to BHX"

Convenience to the airport and check in are the biggest selling points. The room was OK, appointed well, and quiet given the fact that it is essentially on the airport grounds. The restaurant food was just average and overpriced, although service was very good. The check in process, however, is bizarre. You provide them with a card to pay for the room, but there is no record of a 'card being associated with the room' in any of the other venues - reataurant; bar; etc. So, essentially, nothing can be charged to the room and I had to go back out to reception to straighten it out. Come on, folks, this isn't that difficult to figure out.
