Mercure Paris Vaugirard Porte de Versailles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "PARIS TRIP"

Excellent hotel, good service, good location . The only disadvantage is the price for breakfast 19 euros per adult

Mercure Paris Vaugirard Porte de Versailles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Wonderful Hotel"

Across the entrance of exhibition center Prte de Versailles, direct lines to the centre with RER, metro etc, lots of restaurants.Lovely rooms, friendly staff etc

Mercure Paris Vaugirard Porte de Versailles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice Business-Hotel"

18th June 2012, Karlsruhe

My room was nice and clean and newly renovated. Unfortunately, the windows are still old and difficult to open. Also, there was some noise from the street, but rather faint and not a problem for me at all. The way to the room (via two elevators) was a bit inconvenient and I sometimes had to wait rather long. The breakfast area was okay and the service very attentive, but I still consider the breakfast overpriced. The choice of the buffet is not particularly large, there are no exotic fruit or anything. A rather normal hotel breakfast buffet which is convenient but nothing special. The WiFi in the room is free (should be standard at every hotel!) but the connection was very poor in my room (at least at the little table where I put the notebook). However, it was sufficient for e-mail and a few websites.

Good hotel on the right location if you want to go to the Porte Expo. Fine staff and good rooms. Prices may vary a lot!

Mercure Paris Vaugirard Porte de Versailles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent place for family stay in Paris"

25th April 2012, 13Paris, Clermont-Ferrand, France

Very nice hotel with modern style rooms. Kids liked the Aquaboulevard that is very close to the hotel. Same is true for metro station. Can only recommend. Friendly service at breakfast

Mercure Paris Vaugirard Porte de Versailles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great, modern rooms, good location, decent price."

26th March 2012

I am staying in Paris overnight about once a month, and have used 3-4 different Mercure Hotels in the city, but this has been the best so far. The rooms (I was on the 7th floor, room with double sofa) was very modern, very spacious for Paris standards, and had everything I required. The bed was super-comfortable (I like my beds on the harder side), everything was clean, and the overall service in the hotel was good. The hotel is literally right next to Porte de Versailles Metro station, which is in the southern part of Paris. It is very convenient to get into town, but be aware that the Porte de Versaille area itself doesn't have much to offer apart from a few restaurants next to the hotel. There is a big exhibition/fair area next to the hotel, and in general it is quite a commercial area.I required an iron, which they had a few available, and I also asked for a checkout at 1pm rather than noon, which they agreed to without hesitation (although the cleaning lady didn't seem to get the message and knocked at noon). It is not the cheapest option, but Paris in general is quite/too expensive with regards to hotels. So in comparison it is decent value for money. I would definitely recommend it, if it is within your budget.
