"The hotel staff didn't use appropriate manners"
8th May 2012, BangkokArt, Bangkok
The hotel staff didn't provide the appropriate manners to customer so many times. Firstly, I requested room change because it was twin beds, staff at the front desk picked up my phone and told me that she will call back but didn't have any call until I checked-out. Secondly, when I checked-out the staff at front desk shout for other staff to handling my case, which shouldn't happened while customers waiting in front of them. The hotel should better well-trained them in the future because I think this was unacceptable manners did to the customers
"No benefits for Accord Club members!"
24th April 2012
Overall Quality of this hotel has decreased over the years, as not much was invested and management is not attentive to details and peformance of the staff. Still the price/value is ok and it allows you to venture some of the less known part of Thailand. The nearby Bang Phe and Laem Phing have some excellent and cheap seafood. Not to miss also the Djungle restaurant Tamnarn Pa, some 15 km from the hotelIf you are a member of Accord Club (Le Club), then leave your member card at home as you get as Gold (last year) or Platinum (this year) exactly the same treatment as non-members: absolutely no benefit!those kind of hotels make you wondering, what kind of sense it makes to try to improve your status in the membership program of Accord Hotels!
"Cool Pool"

My daughter liked the pool very much. The pool has a sliding board. Although it is a small pool. It has several pools to choose from. The hotel has a good breakfast choice. Clean rooms.

it was a superb break with family and friends. we were a group of 5 Adults, 6 Children including 2 teenagers. Great Sun, Great beach, great food, great hotel including amazing Head Oil Massage! Highly recommended as a nice beach vacation destination. Only thing missing : Kids Club (we had few young kids)
"Wedding"
12th April 2012, trixy9979, Makati, Philippines
Don't believe the French manager if he tells you you'll get a vat refund or security clearing strangers for the beachfront property that you're renting for a wedding ceremony. Don't deal with the sales agent in Bangkok, go straight to the sales agent in Rayong because she is excellent! Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste because they don't include that with the room. On the other hand the food is excellent and not expensive!

"Novotel Rim Pae Resort, Rayong"
11th April 2012, Bangkok, Thailand
Check-in very smooth and warmly welcomed to a friendly family-oriented resort that caters to all travellers. Room was a little musty, but probably due to the wood used in the room, and the queen-size bed a little harder than that to which I'd prefer. No elevator to upper floors, stairs only but bellboy prompt with assistance when requested.Great location for a quiet, relaxing break, far away from daily distractions, with ample swimming pools. Includes a resort-style schedule of activities. Immediately adjacent, with direct access to, Rim Pae Beach, and a small Armada of "Follow Me" hire-boats at the ready to whisk tourists out to the nearby islands - for a modest fee.
"April stay"
5th April 2012, Pak Chong, Thailand
Our stay is always great, but one thing I don't like is your fitness room. The bike is old and doesn't work well. You don't have any dumbells to work out with. I am really into fitness and work out every day, but when I go there I don't get to work out because your facilities are not adequate.. The Novotel in Laos has a much nicer fitness room. I was really disappointed that I couldn't work out the whole week. Another thing is we would like to see more of a selection on your menus. Other than that we really enjoy staying at your facility.

Management responseDear Guests, thanks for your review! Well noted your suggestion for improving our Fitness room. We will work on it. Menus of our outlets have just been revised for better food selection as well as our promotions. Best regards, Arnaud

"Weekend Break"
22nd March 2012, Bangkok, Thailand
The hotel service was very good, every department was very efficient, from the check-in until Maintenance. We stayed there last year, the beach was much cleaner, however, now there are rubbish to be seen on the beach.
"Great Deal for Quiet Thailand Beach"
9th February 2012, Chengdu, China
Great deal if you can get the breakfast included. Breakfast was super! The pools were great and the grounds were clean and relaxing. Beach was nice, but at times had lots of trash in the water. Lots of space to lay in the sun or in the shade.

no possibilities for massage in the eveningairconditioning very cold and a little noisyfood at the italian restaurant not as expected, we were 4 persons internet should be free during the whole stayexcellent service by your staffno good policy to allow people to put towels at sunbeds long before they intend to be there
"Not friendly"
15th January 2012, Kali34, Montpellier
Nice hotel but reception was not very friendly; All services expensives. Wifi, restaurants, beverages... After a long trip in Thailand we were very desapointed. But the location is very quiet on a long and beautifull beach.
"A Novotel location, a 2 star hotel service"
6th January 2012, Patrice P, Bangkok, Thailand
The good things about the hotel:- the location/the beach- the pools- the quietness- Rooms are OK but would need refurbishingThat is quite what i would expect from a Novotel. Now the real issue of this hotel is that i believed it has been mismanaged for years, and don't expect anything like the service you will get in another Novotel in Asia or in Thailand. Some of the issues we met:- we gave a try one night to the Italian restaurant. Big mistake. Food was really average, but the worst part is that the meals came one by one over a period of 45 minutes. We had the bread while the entree were finished. They forgot soem desserts and it took them 20 minutes to get the ice cream our kid was waiting patiently while everybody else had finished eating for a long time. Worse even, all the staff (excepting a nice lady called Pum who tried to be of help) was pretty much either ignoring us when we were calling or not able to communicate.- I am a A plus / Accor Platinum member. Seems the reception does does really understand what it means in terms of welcome and service i expect. And when taking breakfast (which was to be honest pretty bad), I had to check the bills because they were wrongly applying the discounts.- The Wifi charge is ridiculous. They gave you 20 minutes per day for free but what they charge after that is simply crazy. This is 2011, not 1999, get a grip, Wifi should be free or at low price. Luckily for me, most of the hotel was covered by True 3G.- And here comes the worse, the Thai assistant manager, Her attitude is simply insulting. We had a big dispute over the total charge of my rooms, and she ws of no help. Even after calling the newly appointed French manager she kept being condescending and refuse to do what i asked her for (make a separate the bills from the room and one for the meals and extra so i could compare to what i prepaid). There was a 7000THB mistake and she would not admit it it took me 45 minutes of arguing, with the help of her direct superior moreover (who arrived there only 2 months ago, was very helpful but has a huge job ahead of him to change things, because if they keep going down this road they will not last long in developing Rayong...)So to resume, if you have a good deal for around 2500 THB/night (I forgot they show price of 9000THB/night for walk-in, what a joke..) and don't expect much service, go there for the location, the pools, etc. But if you expect Novotel like service, go somewhere else
"Good service mind"
10th October 2011, Nonthaburi, Thailand
the room was very good but the beds were a little bit too hard. The TV channels were not my son interests. The breakfast was plenty. The older kids welcome to stay program - was the best .We often face the problem that only kids under 12 are allowed to stay in parent's room cause my son is 13 years old. Thanks to the hotel kid policy. All staff were beyond very good.
"Worth the trip..."
16th August 2011, searleToronto, Toronto
Beautiful grounds , generous breakfast , most friendly staff ,lovely pool and a nice beach. Only drawback was isolated location ,the only place to eat was at the Hotel or Tourist gouging restaurant, next door, which like the prices for food at the Hotel ,were monopolistic and predatory.
