Stayed here a few years ago, so knew what to expect. Easy to find. Gap is a great location with access to lovely roads and scenery. There is parking and a locked garage available. The main road is busy, but the sound proofing is good. A friendly welcome at reception, but not so from the restaurant. We arrived fairly late, but the restaurant showed it was open until 10pm. Asking for a table just after 9pm was met with an unhappy look, but we were given a table. The food was fine, but the service was not so good. We felt "in the way" and as though we were making someone work late. Sadly the service from one person reflects on the whole image. Other than that everything else was good.

The Ibis Gap is like most other Ibis hotels - simple, clean and usually with a good service.This hotel also has the advantage of being very close (5 mins) to the city center and the old part of Gap.And the morning buffet was standard Ibis - many local products, crepes and a fine selection of cheese and marmalades.

I think that I in my liftime have stayed at about 1000 hotels and I have only met one more serviceminded man at the resecptiondesk. The young man at Ibis hotel in Gap was extremly serviceminded and I strongly rekommend the board of Ibis to take care of such a tallant.

As a group of 10 motorcyclists we needed a base to enjoy the great roads in the area. The Ibis in Gap fitted the bill exactly. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had access to the secure underground parking facilities. The hotel is easy to find and is close enough to the centre of town to make it an easy walk. The ‘3 nights for the price of 2’ deal made the stay very reasonable.
