we loved everything, nextv to beach and sea, very kind staff, good food, good price quality, fantastic thalassa, nice visits to st malo, mont St Michel etc...congratulations, this is a perfect hotel and we loved it
Made to feel welcomed. Room was spacious and comfortable and the service unbeatable. The view from the terrace is stunning. Three generations all enjoyed their stay and all hope to return in the near future
Had a lovely holiday. Good food, staff helpful & accommodation of a good standard. I certainly think it is somewhere we will return. Amazing views & very French. They take dogs too, and good spa facilities 😃
Lovely Hotel with outstanding views (Provided you have a room in the hotel rather than the self catering rooms) We were a family of 4 adults and 3 children aged 3,4,and 7: and had 3 rooms. The Childrens room just off the restaurant and bar was perfectly situated so that the adults could relax and enjoy our meal/drink while at the same time being able to keep an eye on the little treasures! Only one minor criticism was the lack of English translation on menus, however, food excellent: Perhaps more expensive than your standard Novotel but you have to pay for quality.
We were upgraded to a seaview room on arrival. Pleasant ground floor room decorated in a beach style and opened up onto the lawn. Tasted our first Thalassa session, which was so relaxing. Staff attentive. Breakfast on the terrace was excellent, local specialities like oysters and Bretagne tart.
Beautiful hotel, from the entrance to the back it feels like you are in a different country. Excellent food, great staff, wonderful views and perfect weather all added to a very nice stay. We will definitely go back!
We stayed for 2 nights during during weekend. Lovely, clean, modern hotel with outstanding views of the sea. Rooms spacious, functional and well equiped On arrival and during staying the staff were very welcoming, kind and, helpfull. they have to improve their English. We stayed in mid Octoberr and the hotel was full. The Jacusie was too much staffed with peopleand limited time for usinf it. Such spa and sport oeientsd hotel in this level should have more equipement especially lift weights. We had 3 rooms with a sea view which were lovely. The dinner manue is limited but reasonable. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of choices and there was always a lot of food being brought in all the time/ Location is very convinient as a base to travel in this part of britany. Parking was convinient.
thank you for this testimony regarding your stay. We understand that the individual price of the Route du Rhum is high, we apply this pricing policy once every 4 years, I invite you to book a room with spa that does not take account of this event. best regards
Great site, that the only positive aspect... with some employees trying to do their best, but left alone. Bedroom redesigned to a 3 star standart at best, lost of noise from the corridor and other bedrooms. shower support was broken and sink shuter was block, Cleaning was poor all at arrival. Service was average to low quality. at the bar, breakfast served from 10am, and croissants are only available for 45 minutes and then too late for you ! check out invoice was not reflecting what we had during our stay and some details bills were lost between Bar and Reception !
Place itself is not bad, but wow - seems to be targeted to senior citizens or corporate groups! Also , the "treatments" were really nothing to speak of, e.g., 15 minutes in a big jacuzzi tub, 15 minutes of someone hosing you down with a garden hose, or the kitschy-est - someone leading a group doing simple movements in a pool! Massages and others are even additional (tried a massage and really? nothing to speak of....wonder if these people are certified)
We stayed for 2 nights on our way back from La Rochelle. As positives, the hotel is dog friendly, the staff are friendly and there is ample free on site parking. The location is breathtaking with views across the bay to St Malo. Our biggest concern was one of security. The room we were allocated was large, clean and well equipped but there was no air conditioning nor windows for ventilation. There were French doors with access to a small patio area but also with steps down to a public road. This meant that to get ventilation the French doors had to be left on the latch. With quite a lot of traffic, particularly servicing the hotel and a school, we felt that the room could be vulnerable to outside access. Luckily we have a large, vociferous dog which gave some assurances but it's something the hotel needs to attend to. We didn't use any of the spa services so cannot comment and we preferred to experience eating out rather than hotel food. There is however a small kitchenette for those that wish to prepare their own meals. Perhaps with a different room allocation, I would have scored it higher.
A wonderful location & a very attractive hotel indeed. The Reception experience could have been better - although we asked for a table for dinner on the first night, the receptionist failed to actually enter our booking. Very few of the receptionists spoke good enough English to help us out when our french was inadequate. We would also have appreciated a little more information on the Spa in English in advance of our stay, and on booking in, so that we could have made better use of everything on offer. Otherwise, we thought the Spa was simply wonderful, and the terraced areas with sunbeds were well situated with amazing views. We would stay at this hotel again.
We stayed here as an overnight stop ahead of a morning ferry back to Portsmouth. Loved the location overlooking the sea along with the tiered sun decks. The room was great and ticked all the appropriate boxes. The food for dinner was good with the restaurant views adding to it. The staff were really friendly and making the effort to speak French was always appreciated. As a long weekend break or place to stay overnight pre-ferry the following day, i'd reccommend it thoroughly? We look forward to going back and staying for longer than one night.
For the price the food could be a bit better. It was as much to do with variety of choice as quality. Excellent location, good parking. Portorage would have been helpful though. Recomended if you have just arrived at St Malo and want to get in the mood for a prolonged stay with our French neighbours. Would go again.
