I am in France from the US on business for an extended time and am staying at the Ibis in Montlucon. This is the only Ibis that I have ever stayed at and it is a bit more Spartan than the hotel rooms I am used to staying at in the US. The quality of the rooms are fair but for the most part they are clean and comfortable. The staff at this hotel is outstanding. People make the difference and so far the staff at the Montlucon Ibis have made a difference.The food and service in the restaurant has all been outstanding as well. The dinners are reasonably priced and I have not had a meal yet that I would not order again.The only complaint is the selection of television stations. There is only one English Channel (BBC) and during my stay it has been out at least half the time.

We had a good welcome and enjoyed a very good nights sleep - the room was clean and tidy and the service from the restaurant was very good. This was our 2nd visit to Ibis Montlucon so would recommend it to other travellers.

the room was adequate but not to the standard of other Ibis hotels we have used, small and no bath. They were unable to provide us with ice cubes, again different to other Ibis hotels, a small item but indicates a lack of service.

Nothing to complain about about except that the bed was so hard, it was like concrete.Restaurant was very good with wide choice. Location opposite the River was a bonus.Parking is under Hotel in (payable) public parking.
