"Very pleasant hotel for business stay"

Good hotel. Car Parking (Payable). Very friendly and helpful staff. Menu OK but gets boring for the longer term visitor.Could do with some different Beer in the bar.

"pre-cruise stay"

This was a lovely hotel, staff were friendly on arrival gave our young children gifts which delighted them.Rooms were very comfy but a little bit warm even though air condtioning was at the lowest.You could open a window but it was oppisit the police station every so often through the night the sirens would go off.Breakfast was brilliant, lovely buffet style even had a large table for all five of us.Checking out was easy & the staff were very helpfull.

Easy location for docks prior to a cruise departure. Helpful staff & excellent facilities.Good location for Quays & shopping in Southhampton.

"Viisit to Mayflower theatre"

Good points. reasonable value if booking in advance with breakfast included.Good hotel, well positioned for visiting the Mayflower theatereasy access from motorwayBad pointsln a hotel complex with ibis and etap large parking area (paying 5 pound 20 the night)Situated in a new shopping center but no choice of restaurants or pubs near by only McDonald and an American style eater with very loud music.

"Short stay"

Stayed at the Novotel - chon as I had stayed here previously. Hotel, restaurant and room were all excellent. However my stay was spoily by noisy families who let their children run up and down the corridor to play up to late at night. The parents seemed to have no care for other guests with their own noises often using quite offensive language. Realised too late that my stay coincided with half term. Not the hotel's fault but it spoily what was going to be a comfortable stay.

"Novotel Southampton- Dog friendly"

Staff very friendly and welcoming. My husband and I stayed with another couple and their dog who was warmly welcomed. They were not stuck in a "dog" room like some other Hotels but one of same standard as ours. Excellent location. Very accomodating as serve the full restaurant menu in the bar outside of restaurant hours which again is not what we have found at some other Hotels. When you are attending a show restaurant hours are too late so it was great, The standard of food was also excellent and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. We will certainly return.

"Good Hotel"

Comfortable hotel, central to all the main shopping and cruise terminals. Parking on site was reasonable at £5 per night. Only grumble was that the wi-fi was £9 a night in the hotel, so it wasn't used. The staff were very helpful, and it met all our needs.

"Excellent Novotel Hotel Southampyon Centre"

The Southampton Novotel hotel is an excellent hotel, centrally located, a short walk from the splendid West Quay shopping centre. The hotel provides excellent service from friendly staff. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The check in and check out is speedy and stress free. Breakfast is excellent and the restaurant and bar menus provide tasty meals. Car parking is well provided for and the hotel offers excellent value for money

"Not at all a well Novotel"

Massive hike in price to celebrate the Boat Show but a pretty disastrous stay. First major disappointment was to return to the hotel mid-afternoon for tea and get a sandwich with seriously stale bread. Major disappointment number two was in the morning when the hot water was so tepid I needed a kettle to bring it up to temperature for shaving and it was barely warm enough for a shower. The room was OK but rather stuffy without air conditioning and with limited window opening. Novotels are usually so reliable - perhaps Southampton is the exception that proves the rule?

"Southampton here we come!"

Apart from some confusion at reception when arriving and checking out, mainly due to an inconsistency with the website booking procedures, the stay was excellent. The little wrinkles were ironed out with a reasonable degree of satisfaction. Breakfast was very good but the late evening food facility left something to be desired - I don't think the bar staff know how to produce a toasted sandwich, a little training would not go amiss and not just in this location. All in all a very pleasant stay and very convenient for our purpose during that period.

"Southampton Novotel"

Convienient for cruise terminal, city centre and shoppping mall. Novotel standards as usual, food has improved dramatically since last stay. Bar area needs someone to clear up. Dirty glasses and wet tables not good picture, but overall would recommend for overnight stay
