"Great as last time"
18th January 2013, ca0099, Sao Paulo, Brazil
I stayed a couple of days here back in 2006 and I had to choose a hotel to stay 1 night and with no doubt I picked Sofitel again. Very well located, near a subway station. It has a great breakfast buffet, good service and rooms are great too. He had also a great dinner, and both Manu and Wine List were above average for a hotel. I will certainly come back here if I ever need to return to Brussels.
"Sofitel is swell"

Somewhat over glitzy environment but otherwise very accomdating hotel with eager service.Medium sized library is a good venue for a small meeting .Buffet breakfast perhaps a litle disappointing in its range of foods.
"(almost perfect) business hotel"

The hotel is missing is a good gym: there is a small gym, but poorly equipped. No shower or sauna.Friendly staff - rooms are nice, and soundproof.Bar and restaurant are fancy, but rather expensive. Breakfast (buffet) is what you may expect from a 4star hotel.
"Great Hotel"
7th January 2013, GlamNY, New York City, New York, USA
Great hotel although location was not very close to the center (Grand Place) close to shopping and business area. Close to Metro. Spacious and clean rooms. One of the staff, Renan, was outstanding and made sure we enjoyed our stay a lot.
"The best in BRU but expected more as Gold member."
7th January 2013, flyer1972, Zürich, Switzerland
The hotel is just perfect. on Januar 1st we stayed in room 115 and we been told at the check in that as a Gold member we get an upgrade to sup. room. (we allways got upgrades in all the sofitels we went and its part of the loyallity program- something we even dont have to ask). The room was good but seemed to be too small and without nesspresso machine. My freind is Swiss and very naive. He told me that if the lady at check in promissed an upgrade- she did so. just when were back home we checked the rooms again and after all we got the classic room and not sup.I would like to have a comment from accorhotels or the hotel about it. my data (checkin date and room) are stated in this comment. thanks.
"Wonderful gem amongst all the treasures of Brussels"
7th January 2013, jeff3805, Phoenix, Arizona, USA
We spent two nights at the Sofitel Le Louise and were very pleased with our choice. From the minute we arrived until the minute we checked out, the staff went above and beyond for our family. While I was busy checking in, the concierge quickly engaged the children in conversation about our trip and what they wanted to see in Brussels. He then took a map and started discussing various options with my husband- including where to find the best of Brussels chocolates. When we got to our rooms, they were perfect. Not huge, but well sized considering it is Europe. The rooms were connecting, just as I asked and an extra bed was already set up in the children's room (we have 3) with extra towels and amenities. I understand that to many this is not a big deal, but I can't tell you the number of Ritz Carltons and other high end hotels and resorts that do not have our room set for the three kids when we check in. Usually it requires me calling down a few time before the extra bed - or in the past a crib, would finally be sent up.Back to the rooms...the beds were very comfortable and the decor was pretty, more on the modern side. The shower was great in our room. It was a rain head faucet that came out of the ceiling. The toiletries were from Hermes and plentiful. Internet was also included- another pet peeve of mine when we are staying at high end hotels and they want to charge you for it! The best part of the room was how quiet it was. We slept wonderfully, as did our children.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and were very impressed with the staff and the hotel!
"Double Thumbs Up"
6th January 2013, Kuwait City, Kuwait
I traveeled with my wife to Brussels for two nights and booked the junior suite at this property. Very nice room with modern decor, wonderful sitting room, huge bathroom, and a pleasant view over the inner garden/terrase. Excellent hotel, excellent service, excellent location.
"Sofitel Louise"

excellent welcome and service - responsive, finding solutions, accomodating as arrival/departure hours slightly exceeded the room availability, etc. quiet hotel as well, room recentely redone, close enough to center city, euro institutions and transports. one minor inconvenience: the mattress overlay is a tad too soft, for someone who likes rather firm beds.

Superb hotel for a nice stay, friendly and everything perfect. If you book in advance the price is not that high at least not for Brussels. Location is great, center is a 10 minute walk, metro just by the corner. Good shopping in the area. The bar in the hotel is very nice but a bit too expensive.
"Great Stay"
17th September 2012, MervBritt, Brisbane, Australia
The location of this hotel is very good, close to subway which was very easy to use. Plenty of good restaurants within a short walking distance. Rooms very clean and good size. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast more than adequate and good selection. Only down-point was handling of bags on arrival, no porter available and reception is two floors up via escalator, wasn't aware of lift, as it is not signed or clearly visible inside front entry.
"A wonderful hotel."
30th August 2012, Carolenny, Paris, France
Most importantly, the personnel were very kind and responsive to any of our needs. The rooms are very well air conditioned - which is important to us. In the superior room, the coffee machine is very good. The only downside is the strange way in which they have constructed their bathrooms. There is a sliding door instead of a real door. In short, privacy is somewhat compromised.Other than that, the rooms are comfortable. The beds are comfortable. The service is excellent. The location is excellent. The bar is attractive. We recommend this hotel highly.
"Good city-center hotel"

Stayed here several times, great location, very good value. Rooms are modern and clean, not over-large. Beds are classic Sofitel - marvelous! Service typically "French" (!).......................................................................
"2 days in Belgium"
21st April 2012
The Sofitel provided an outstanding place to stay. We were there on the weekend, so got an awesome rate. Our flight arrived very early and we didn't expect to be able to check in but the room was available, so wonderful to shower and nap after a long journey. The Midi strain station was a few metro stops away so an easy base to get to Bruge -which we loved, and back and forth to the airport. Little touches like coffee and tea in the room were appreciated - not all European hotels provide that.
"Sophisticated!"
6th April 2012, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
A middle part of the bed was dented!? and I had a back pain in the next morning. However it was fine for my wife. All the rest was very nice and people were very sophisticated and professional.
"Ongoing failing upgrade system Accor loyalty cards"
29th March 2012, Sint-Niklaas, België
Very nice, trendy and well located hotel. I personnaly stayed several times in this hotel, and it is probably on of the better hotels to stay in Brussels. However, the only very embarrasing thing for this particular Sofitel hotel is that, even if you are entitled to receive an upgrade (by having the right Accor loyalty card) and you expressed upfront clearly the question to be upgraded if possible, you always really have to start a very semi-public and really embarrasing discussion on a potential upgrade at the reception desk. After getting all the excuses possible by the reception clerck and/or assistant-manager (nobody in charge to allow upgrades, hotel full-booked, technical problems in all upgraded rooms (!) and many of these more), you will be told that your 'certainly' complaint will be passed to the hotelmanagement and next time this issue will be solved, which will be -off course- not the case. Verry exceptionnaly you will receive finally an upgrade, but the painful negotiation related to it spoils the whole 'upgrade experience'. So because of this rather ongoing disappointment my low rating for 'service'. To be clear, I have only this experience in this particular Sofitel. In other Sofitels I experienced most of the time a smooth upgrade process.
