"Great hotel, a couple of minor disappointments"
19th September 2013, AlwaysNearWalls, Beijing
I booked two rooms at this hotel for my family to stay in on a recent visit to see us in Brussels. The hotel is excellent, very well maintained and exudes an air of luxury. The rooms were beautiful.Having booked and paid for the rooms myself, I was slightly disappointed not to receive the usual upgrade as a platinum member. In addition, the check-in staff member promised something to celebrate my parents' wedding anniversary which was the reason for the visit, unfortunately nothing arrived. These however are minor quibbles and I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and to use it again when visitors are coming to town.

We really enjoyed our stay in Brussels, and the Sofitel Louise. The staff were very welcoming and could not be more helpful. The Hotel is superb and is a proper 4* standard, unlike many hotels that claim to be. We will definitely be heading back to this hotel. The location is a short walk from the centre which is both an advantage and a disadvantage! But a great trip for all our famly.
"Excellent service, convenient location and well-connected"
11th September 2013, HolidayingInEurope, LONDON
I have stayed at this hotel several times and on almost all occasions found the service to be exceptionally charming and helpful. To me, this is the highlight of a quality hotel. Housekeeping staff are polite and courteous and go the extra mile to make guest comfortable. The rooms are a generous size. Room service is of a good standard. At weekends the price is very reasonable. The check-in procedure is well-run. The metro station is close by. Restaurants at Place Boniface (a short walk away) are lovely. What more could one ask for?
"snobbish as it can be, clearly not the best choice if you are used to usual Sofitel service"
10th September 2013, Adiguzel
First the rooms are not as comfortable as you would expect for the price. They are small and most of them noisy either because of garden side bar or down stairs night club type music ( which was the case for my stay at first floor). Avoid first floor, avoid garden bar nosy side avoid road side windows it does remain very few good alternatives.Breakfast service is surprisingly poor in view of the number of waiters present. It is highly possible, your order forherbal tea or eggs will be forgotten because waiters have their own chatting session between themselves. The Bed is very comfortable without doubt the only good choice among other things. In my opinion, this hotel has to be cheaper based on what you get.
"Very good quality with drawbacks"
28th August 2013, DanH0455, Bucharest, Romania
I stayed 7 nights in this hotel; the room quality was excellent, very well equipped and very cleanThe two drawbacks are:- During my stay in this hotel they’ve made refurbishing of the floor in the lobby and at the reception of the hotel; even if the workers did their job very well and fast (considering the big surface of the floor), this was creating a lot of noise and dust in an area which cannot be avoided by the clients- As I was travelling in my car, I needed parking; I chose this hotel as it is mentioning on its web page that it has a parking; well, here we have two problems: first, the parking has an additional price, not included in declared price, not mentioned on the hotel web page and quite high (27 Euro per day); second, the parking is not at the hotel location – this means that a valet is taking your car for parking it in a remote location (not very close to the hotel); when you need you car, you have to ask for it and 20 minutes later you can have it – this can be an inconvenient in some circumstancesFor the rest, the staff was very friendly, the location is excellent, the quality is very good.

Celebrating our anniversary, the Sofitel hotel was a wonderful place to stay! Rooms extremely clean. The only negative was that there was construction going on which made the lobby really noisy. There are a number of nice small neighborhood cafes and restaurants near the Sofitel. The restaurant in the hotel was also really good
"Nicest Hotel in Brussels"
25th June 2013, LRJ32, Chicago, Illinois, USA
This Sofitel, in the heart of the luxury shopping district was great! In addition, if you don't want to venture down the hill to the antique district, bad name because it has so many other great shops and restaurants, the Sofitel restaurant is terrific. Clean, polite, and beautiful!
"Great as last time"
18th January 2013, ca0099, Sao Paulo, Brazil
I stayed a couple of days here back in 2006 and I had to choose a hotel to stay 1 night and with no doubt I picked Sofitel again. Very well located, near a subway station. It has a great breakfast buffet, good service and rooms are great too. He had also a great dinner, and both Manu and Wine List were above average for a hotel. I will certainly come back here if I ever need to return to Brussels.
"Sofitel is swell"

Somewhat over glitzy environment but otherwise very accomdating hotel with eager service.Medium sized library is a good venue for a small meeting .Buffet breakfast perhaps a litle disappointing in its range of foods.
"(almost perfect) business hotel"
14th January 2013, 222Peter_B222, Antwerp, Belgium
The hotel is missing is a good gym: there is a small gym, but poorly equipped. No shower or sauna.Friendly staff - rooms are nice, and soundproof.Bar and restaurant are fancy, but rather expensive. Breakfast (buffet) is what you may expect from a 4star hotel.

Great hotel although location was not very close to the center (Grand Place) close to shopping and business area. Close to Metro. Spacious and clean rooms. One of the staff, Renan, was outstanding and made sure we enjoyed our stay a lot.
"The best in BRU but expected more as Gold member."
7th January 2013, flyer1972, Zürich, Switzerland
The hotel is just perfect. on Januar 1st we stayed in room 115 and we been told at the check in that as a Gold member we get an upgrade to sup. room. (we allways got upgrades in all the sofitels we went and its part of the loyallity program- something we even dont have to ask). The room was good but seemed to be too small and without nesspresso machine. My freind is Swiss and very naive. He told me that if the lady at check in promissed an upgrade- she did so. just when were back home we checked the rooms again and after all we got the classic room and not sup.I would like to have a comment from accorhotels or the hotel about it. my data (checkin date and room) are stated in this comment. thanks.
"Wonderful gem amongst all the treasures of Brussels"
7th January 2013, jeff3805, Phoenix, Arizona, USA
We spent two nights at the Sofitel Le Louise and were very pleased with our choice. From the minute we arrived until the minute we checked out, the staff went above and beyond for our family. While I was busy checking in, the concierge quickly engaged the children in conversation about our trip and what they wanted to see in Brussels. He then took a map and started discussing various options with my husband- including where to find the best of Brussels chocolates. When we got to our rooms, they were perfect. Not huge, but well sized considering it is Europe. The rooms were connecting, just as I asked and an extra bed was already set up in the children's room (we have 3) with extra towels and amenities. I understand that to many this is not a big deal, but I can't tell you the number of Ritz Carltons and other high end hotels and resorts that do not have our room set for the three kids when we check in. Usually it requires me calling down a few time before the extra bed - or in the past a crib, would finally be sent up.Back to the rooms...the beds were very comfortable and the decor was pretty, more on the modern side. The shower was great in our room. It was a rain head faucet that came out of the ceiling. The toiletries were from Hermes and plentiful. Internet was also included- another pet peeve of mine when we are staying at high end hotels and they want to charge you for it! The best part of the room was how quiet it was. We slept wonderfully, as did our children.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and were very impressed with the staff and the hotel!
"Double Thumbs Up"
6th January 2013, Kuwait City, Kuwait
I traveeled with my wife to Brussels for two nights and booked the junior suite at this property. Very nice room with modern decor, wonderful sitting room, huge bathroom, and a pleasant view over the inner garden/terrase. Excellent hotel, excellent service, excellent location.
