"Rooms at the front"

Make sure you ask for a room at the back. My room was on the second floor at the front - facing the square - and I had a terrible night. Drunks screaming at midnight, taxi horns at 2am, more drunks at 3am, garbage trucks at 4am, HGVs unloading goods at 5am and departing guests making a din as they boarded a coach at 6am. And that doesn't include the teenagers slamming doors and shouting all night on my floor. An absolute nightmare. My company has made a reservation for me at the same hotel later this month and I've got the cold sweats just thinking about it.

Located near main attractions, the hotel is very easily accessible to Central Station and only 1 min walk to Grand Place. The room we had was on the 6th fl, the attic actually, was surprisingly spacious considering Ibis standard, though it was quite noisy from people outside. However, what was puzzling was the room was on the 6th fl while the lift operated up to 5th fl. So we had to carry our bulky baggage onto the stairs. Nonetheless, a staff helped us with this and we really appreciated.As for cleanliness, we found a chewing gum in a bathroom, which was of course not ours, so the maid should have cleaned better. The staff at the front desk were somewhat helpful, but could have done better with knowledge around the area and more hospitality. So with 200 euro sth per two nights, I'd rather say it was a bit disappointing.

The hotel is really only a few meters away from the Grand Place and close to a lot of restaurants and shops, really handy. The staff is friendly.The bedrooms are clean but somewhat small and there was no safe or minibar. The bathroooms are well sized and clean.The machines responsible for coffee breakfast were broken or out of coffee on two of the four days, which is a bit annoying even though the problems were fixed in less than 15 minutes.

The best thing about this hotel is the fantastic location, just 2 minutes walk from Grand Place and less than 5 minutes walk from the rail station. The hotel itself was much as you would expect from an Ibis, the room was on the smallish side (although bigger than in some Ibis hotels I've stayed at) but clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, with good English. The bar menu is limited although perfectly pleasant with generous portions. The only downside with the location is the noise on Friday and Saturday nights. I had a room at the front, and late night revellers were closely followed by early risers for the weekend market held in the square where the hotel is situated. Ask for a room at the back if you are a light sleeper.

Charming building from the outside. Rooms like any other IBIS hotel: clean, beds ok, good facilities, size ok. Very good isolation, no noise from outside. We had two rooms at the back side facing the Place d Espagne.Friendly staff.The location is excellent, within minutes from manneken pis, Grande Place, shops, Galleries st Hubert. Price is good (in the weekend) for the quality and location.Public undergound parking nextdoor, €25 per 24 hrs (normal, like any big city).We used breakfast in town. The hotel breakfast is good, but a little bit overpriced at €14.No free wifi, which is a downside. Free interet pc available at the reception (15 minutes)
"Quick staff"

I was very satisfied with the overall stay. The friendliness of the staff was very good. I checked in around 8 pm and the first room I got was very small. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff and they immediately would like to change my room. They gave me a second key and asked if I would like to inspect this room and notify them if I would like to change to the second room. I checked and the new room was twice the size of the original room, for the same price. Very satisfied!

This is a cosy hotel and the service is excellent. I travel to Brussels frequently and stay at this hotel every time! The rooms are always clean and tidy and the bar offers a nice selection of snacks. Location is excellent, it is a two minute walk from the station and all the best places to visit.

Location is superb,Lots of cafe's and restaurant surrounding the hotel.The hotel itself is standard Ibis / Accor, no frills rooms, functional, no more, no less.Great location, easy parking ( parking garage / pay ) in the basement.Recommended.

My wife and I recently stayed in the ibis Grand Place in Brussels. A great little tourist hotel, very clean and air conditioned which helped during the warm evenings. The hotel is located at the Place des Herbes Marche which is adjacent to the Grand Place so the location is second to none. We spent the day walking the city and admiring the architecture and history. Brussels is a beautiful and quiet city and well worth a visit. Very enjoyable
