ibis Chateau Thierry: 2.0 out of 5 stars "A real let down."

4th September 2013, xxxvc, Dorking, Uk

Often use Ibis for their high standard of rooms and service, with an adequate level of facilities. This was a real disappointment - located on a ring-road in a commercial centre; ignored by receptionist for 15 minutes who then claimed not to have our central booked reservation (whilst turning away another family with a written proof of booking); 30 minutes to place a order in the restaurant; most menu options were not available; room noisy and hot - with loud voices from Reception at 3 in morning; and cars doing burn-outs in car park. I will never stay there again.

ibis Chateau Thierry: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Renovation in full swing."

30th June 2012, Cam, Glos, England

The hotel was very well situated next to the river and a 15 minute walk alongside the river into the centre of town. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The down side was the hotel was being refurbished so paint over carpets missing fixtures etc. The room we had was roomy but we had a broken shower head and some power sockets were not working. I am sure if we had complained this could have been resolved but due to the hour we just wanted to get to sleep (after a difficult shower!).Renovations are required but it would have been helpful if we had been informed of this before we arrived.Andrew

ibis Chateau Thierry: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great place at a great price"

14th July 2011, pspoirier, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

I adore IBIS and this one was no exception - an oasis after some busy days in big 4cities. A sign after departing the A$ made it easy to find, the breakfast was good as usual and our questions were easily answered. Catheau Thierry has good signage and that always contributes to my "love" of a location. Highly recommended.

ibis Chateau Thierry: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Not bad hotel needs modernisation no sign of any lake?"

1st May 2011, London

For purely as a place to sleep not bad but no AC for the hot weather satff very friendly and welcoming.Macdoanlds within walking distance for a snack. The hotel could do with modernisation and the second floor has addition steps after getting of the lift so diffuclt for the disabled.
