Novotel Bangkok On Siam Square hotel

"Great Location"

I have always stayed at Novotel Bangkok Siam Square if I am going to Bangkok for very short stay like 1 to 2 days. Cuz its near to MBK, just across Paragon and BTM is a stone's throw away.This trip, the check in staff gave me a room key and I got a shock when there was someone in the room. Good thing the person is in the washroom otherwise he would get a shock of his life too. When I went back to check in recept, they just took my key and try to find a new room for me. No apologies given. Then they told me all the rooms are full and I have to check in 1 hour later. That was already 4pm. Again no apologies given for the late check in. I was put on the top floor, 18th floor, and the water pressure at the bath shower is really small, probably cuz its top floor. Redeming factor is when the hotel granted me a late checkout at 2pm. Which I think they should given the fact I was only checked in after 5pm the earlier day.Yes I would stay at this hotel again, just for the location, but the service really needs to be improved.

"Gd location but staff at reception was not very polite"

location was gd, bell boys n porter are friendly n polite, waitress at the executive premier lounge was nice n polit except for the reception staff in here. I wil still come back to tis hotel due the the fantastic surrounding n their BTS station was just behind the hotel. Massage parlour was gd too.

"Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square"

For the past 3 years, this hotel is my number one choice. It is conveniently located in the heart of Siam Square. Major shopping malls - MBK, Siam Paragon, Central, Siam Discovery Centre, etc are at walking distance. No worries for food as there is a nice Thai food restaurant right opposite. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Highly recommended especially those who visit Bangkok for the very first time.

"Serious Point to consider"

1) Pls change the menu of the breakfast.Last trip in Bangkok which is last year and I have been staying in Novotel everytime I go bangkok. the breakfast menu was good and fabulous that is why this trip I chose Novotel as well.But this trip, disappointing, the menu is the same imagine having breakfast with the same food for 3 consecutive morning.... Increase the variety and change them regularly.Next trip will consider Pathumnam Princess as some of my friend told me is it better than Novotel for breakfast.

"Disappointed with Accor Booking Systemn"

When we arrived there was no booking. After showing Staff the e-mail with Booking Number a Room was found. Then on checkout I was asked for full payment, which I assumed I had paid with Booking as Credit Card details were given via booking form.The stay was very good with excellent Restaurant and House keeping Staff.

"Novotel Bangkok on Siam square"

Hotel was in a great position close to shops. The only thing I didn't like was the smell in the room. We had a non smoking room but it still smelt like a smoking room when you first walked into the room. Staff at pool area were great.

"ExcellentLocation"

My third trip to Bangkok and this time I stayed @ Novotel Siam. The location is excellent, just a few steps to the SIAM BTS . The "minus" experience we got is that we booked the Double bed rooms, and requested the smoking rooms, and when we arrived very late at night, we found out the hotel arranged us the twin bed rooms. After furthermore request , the staffs arranged us 2 double bed rooms, include one free upgrade. and they promised to move us to double bed as requested in the next morning.My room was big, and neat with nice pillow, but the mattress is a bit too firm for me. but it is still tolerable.Very nice experience staying at Novotel Siam. I recommend it!ALl the staffs are working great. The surrounding is a shopping area, and u can easily find food hunting or massages experiences. (Try Leg Foot Massage across the street, so recommended)

Location is great for shopping, but feel the services let the hotel down. There is more hotels that offer better services, for the price. We had issues with Kids options for meals, not very kid friendly...

We enjoyed the stay at the hotel and the room was Ok sleep was disturbed by activity in the corridor /other rooms.On a couple of occasions I was woken up by what I thought was someone trying to enter our room, i dont think this was my oimagination.

"Novotel BKK"

It is very centrally located close to sky train and shopping malls. Downside was then gave a room that we asked not to be given at the time of booking. The room 1613 was very HOT, close to the sky train. The water of the shower always turned hot even though it was full to cold and the check out lady made me run around to show proof of payment as her system was down. Even the lifts were hot as their a/c did not seem to work and the hotel not doing anything about it. It is still a good place to stay and hopefully the hotel management will sort these issues.

"Shopped til we dropped!"

We were only here for one night which was Songkran Sunday with the idea of finishing our thai holiday with a shopping frenzy and the hotel and service did not disappoint! We requested a quiet room if possible and were given a newly refurbished room on the 18th floor and you could still hear the excited crowds and music outside (all over by 10.30pm). We particularly liked that towels were available at the front door for those soaked by water from the celebrations. We shopped for 24 hours at all the major shopping centres close by (5 mins walk) and after a good nights sleep set out for the airport. Our stay was seamless, staff were friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay here longer next time.

"Best near Siam Square"

We stayed here on two occaisions, both within the last month. The initial service was a disapointing on the first visit, as had booked to have a rollaway bed with the children, and being told everything was ready, and having to call to ask, then again for towels etc.However, that was the only complaint, everything else was perfect, from room service, breakfast, transfers to the airport. It is definitely worth paying extra for either a suite or for the premier floors.

"Totally Disappointed!"

I have high hopes on the brand name but when I checked-in and stayed for the next couple of days, I was totally disappointed by its low quality and standard i.e. the coffee cups was not cleaned (still stained with the previous occupants coffee stains) from the day I checked-in till I have checked out. Some days, the chamber maids after cleaning forgot to give you the replacement bath towels after they have taken the soiled ones - I have to call for services to get it. It happened to another room too! Chamber maids forgets to top-up the mineral water after cleaning the room. Toilet floor wasn't clean or rather they don't even clean the toilet floor ... Terrible.

"Dissapointment on arrival only..."

We stayed at Novotel on Siam Square in April 2012. I booked in around October 2011, well in advance. On booking, I requested interconnecting rooms as we are travelling with our girls, 14 and 11 years. I was happy to pay for an additional room for them on the condition that it was interconnecting, or at least adjacent to ours. I also asked to be informed if the hotel could not accomodate this request so I could make alternate arrangements. One week out from our travel I had heard nothing, so emailed the hotel again myself. I was informed they had our request, but interconnecting rooms were 'subject to availability'. I again emailed the hotel as I felt that 1 week out from our travel, the hotel should be able to confirm availability. Still I recieved no positive response.Upon our arrival at the hotel, around 10pm, after an international flight, the staff at reception informed me that they were trying to find us 2 rooms on the same floor as each other. I was told that there were no interconnecting rooms available. I informed them this was not acceptable as our rooms could concievably be at different ends of the resort and my wife and I felt we would each then have to share a room with one of our children. This of course changes the whole dynamic of the holiday. Upon pushing and asking how they could not have planned to accomodate us when I had booked so far in advance, I was informed that they had one set of interconnecting rooms left, but one of the two rooms had not been cleaned. We were given the option of staying in seperate rooms that night, or waiting 45 minutes while they cleaned one of the rooms. We opted for the later, and about 1hr 15minutes after our arrival at the hotel, finally got into our rooms. While my request was ultimately accomodated, it was frustrating that, even though the roooms were available and I had requested them well in advance, the hotel did not bother cleaning them in time for our arrival and had I not pushed, we would have missed out.While I feel it is important to point out the above negative experience, the remainder of our 4 night stay was very pleasant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is well presented as are the rooms. The restaurant was exellent.I will say that the beds are a bit hard for my liking and there were no additional pillows in the rooms, though I am sure they would have happily provided some. Overall, I would stay here again.

"Center of Famous Shopping"

This is my first stay at this hotel. I have chosen this accommodation due to its location which is in the center of famous shopping street of Bangkok, Thailand. You can walk shortly to BTS Siam and walk trough Many department stores beginning with Siam Center, Siam Discovery , Siam paragon, Central World and Zen. The room is clean as Novotel standard, There is a large pool on 4th floor with polite staffs. However, the room prize is quite high if you do not book via member website.

"best location of the hotel"

was here with my wife for a short trip very well situated in Siam Square ,everything is just walking distance from this hotel would give 10 out of 10 for location, good and helpful staff .as we reached early in the morning we had to wait for 2hrs to get the room as its was still getting cleaned the wait was worth .good clean rooms .will b coming back soon only sad part was that the wifi offered to us in the room for free was very slow then the internet wat we used in lobby ..hotel has mac computers which can b used by guest for free for 20 min also 1 of the best club in Bangkok is in this hotel ya the complimentry water are kept in the bathroom for the guest and the paid once are placed above the bar do check before using ant charged one .
