Novotel Château de Versailles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Relaxing hotel outside of Paris"

10th May 2012

Good home base for trip to Versailles, and a 25 minute train ride to Paris. 15 minute walk to a varied assortment of restaurants, 10 minutes walk to the entrance of Versailles. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was included in our room price. Breakfast, when not included, can be purchased for 15€.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "somewhat dissapointing."

19th April 2012, Ben543, Brussels, Belgium

Rooms are OK, but breakfast was very disappointing. Location is not as announced: a good 20 minutes walk to the chateau and the restaurant area. I do not understand how this hotel got four stars. (Three star qualification would be adequate) The entrance to the parking (in a back street) is difficult to find if you are not familiar with the place. Parking possibility on the street almost non-existent.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Versailles"

Not far from PalaisSimple hotel, hotel sevices at the bar not so good, long waiting time to be served.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel for exploring Versaille on foot or Paris by RER"

4th September 2011, Cambridge, United Kingdom

Good quality hotel in walking distance of the Chateau. My only slight concern is that because of its central location it is on a busy street and there was some traffic noise (hence only average for sleep quality). Breakfast was expensive at EURO 13 per person but we simply wandered into town and had it at a patisserie.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Too hot but a good spot"

27th August 2011, Epworth

The hotel was too hot. The air control system is not good enough. The location for the chateau is ideal. The shower worked. The room ws quiet. Staff were pleasant. We did not have breakfast. It was too expensive for what it was.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "A good location"

16th August 2011, Epworth

We have stayed in this hotel twice. We chose it for it's location. The hotel is efficient and clean. It is quiet. The room was spacious enough for a short stay. we found it airless. The room was hot and the system to cool it was inefficient. This is our one complaint.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Nice Hotel"

8th August 2011, Bournemouth

Everything was ok except for the air conditioning in our room and the bed mattresses are foam backed which when hot it is not comfortable to sleep on especially in the hot humid nights we had when we stayed.Staff were very good and helpful overall. Versailles is a nice place to be as it proved a good base to visit Paris on a daily basis. The Hotel food and restaurant was ok and well presented. The Sisters Cafe is an American themed restaurant which is good value not to far from the Hotel (15 minute walk) if one wants something different. You can get a bus outside the Hotel to take you to the train station to get into Paris or whereever and dose not cost much.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good location, great room"

8th August 2011, Birmingham

Stayed in a superior room which was worth the extra money. Very spacious for the 3 of us. Main criticism was the continental breakfast to the room. Poor quality, not what was ordered and not enough for each of us. They had to come back to us 3 times and in the end I gave up. Food in the restaurant though was good and the beds were comfortable

Novotel Château de Versailles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Le Chesnay - nice hotel, shame about the restaurant staff."

30th July 2011, Brackley, UK

My family and I (I have wife and two young children) regularly stay in Novotels when we travel across France as we enjoy the consistent standard of accommodation and service. Novotel Le Chesnay was a last stop on our two stop drive back to the UK from the Languedoc and in many respects it was no different: good location, clean rooms and friendly counter staff. However, this particular stay was spoilt by the attitude of the restaurant staff, who made us wait 1.5 hours for a table, when the restaurant was clearly only half full, then having seated us they left us for 30 minutes without even offering us a drink or offering to take our order. We made it clear to staff that we wanted to order, but they simply acknowledged us and carried on clearing tables. Eventually we had to leave the restaurant and order pizza from the local Dominoes - which was very good and only a couple of blocks away. I would visit again (only because I like Novotel), but I would be wary of the restaurant.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "good stay at hotel"

13th May 2011, hong kong

please enter the staying points for me. I have reminded the hotel to enter the points but seemed they forgot. My family have been staying at the hotel very comfortably. The hotel restaurant has not provided much varitey of food. this should be improved.

Novotel Château de Versailles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Chateau de Versailles"

2nd May 2011, Grays

Not good once you have stayed at Novotel Suitehotel. This Novotel is old, room is small for a double and 2 single beds (a sofa bed which converts into 2 single) but the decor is very dated. Pricey when you take this into account. Good location for visit to Versailles Palace though it is 20 mins walk away. A big downside is the car park is very limited, at EUR 11 per night, and car park space is very tight. No lift to hotel lobby so if you have big or many luggages, you need to carry up the 3 flights of stairs up to an exit at the outside of the hotel. Would recommend if you cannot find any better value hotels.
