"Excellent Value"

We have family recently moved to Ipswich so this hotel is perfect location for our visits. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly; the hotel is modern, clean and bright and the rooms were extremely good for the cost. Food was very good too. A good stay - will come again.

"Back in East Anglia to visit friends and colleagues"

Firstly, a good rate for a 5 night stay. An average of £43 per night. So, bearing that in mind, the friendly and helpful receptionists, the cleanliness of the room, the efficient shower, the self de-misting mirror in the shower room, the comfortable bed, the efficiency of room service and the ideal location for both town and waterfront makes this choice a no brainer.

"A good experience"

This is one of my favourite hotels in the Ipswich area; with comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff.The disabled rooms are easy to access.My only -ve comment is that they need to have more information about the adaptations available when booking.

"Christmas party 2012"

During the week before our stay I phoned the hotel to reserve a parking space. I was told quite bluntly that this was not an option and parking was first come first served at £7. On the evening of our visit we arrived as promptly as was possible after a days work to find the car park full. We had to park on a rather dubious looking public car park paying £3 for 3 hours. Checking in at the hotel we were told that we could have reserved a space after all! One member of the check in team was very helpful and eventually found us a space within the hotel car park. This issue dealt with we found are room to be warm, comfortable and clean. The party was great with excellent food. However the bar prices were rather inflated not to mention that they had no cider (other than pear). All in all a good night with a few organisational issues.One final point- staff should make sure to issue a barrier ticket on checkout to save having to repark and return to reception to obtain one.

Lovely hotel, clean and very friendly staff added bonus was a great nights sleep. Brilliant bar very relaxing and nice to sit and watch the world passing by the window. The only disturbance during the night was from a drunken reveller having trouble finding his room in the wee hours

"Upmarket central hotel"

This hotel is what you would expect at the higher end of the price range of the provincial market for a modern town centre hotel. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Car park is adequate with a barrier system for entrance & exit. Location is good for shops, waterfront, football ground, cinema & a wide range of restaurants. Hotel restaurant & bar are rather soulless & expensive for what is on offer. Staff are friendly & helpful.

"Excellent hotel!"

We had a great experience at the Novotel, Ipswich. The room was a good size and very clean, and the staff were extremely helpful. The location is great for the centre of Ipswich, as we were able to walk back from The Buttermarket in less than five minutes. Overall, a very good hotel and I would highly recommend it!

"Perfect as usual."

We use this hotel any time we visit Ipswich. We've never had a single problem or complaint to make. The rooms are clean, the beds are wonderfully comfortable and the staff are all friendly and courteous.What else could you actually want or need from a hotel.Of course we'll use it again.

"Excellent service"

We stayed with three young children and the hotel could not have been better. The service was excellent - the receptionist and the breakfast staff were great with the children and couldn't have looked after us better. The room was large, comfortable and clean.

The visit was to celerbtate my sisters 70th Birthday. She had selected the hotel for the event. There where a number of the family and friends stoping at the hotel.First impressions where very good, hotel reception was large and very clean. There was a small childrens play area containing Play station, Apple computer and low seats with reading books and other toys. Greeting from reception was excellent and quick.Room was clean, well decorated, unusual was the seperate tolet and shower room, which was good, both were spotless. Tv and other fixtures were of good quality. Only slight complaint was the mattress topper which was a memory foam type, always fancied this, now would not entertain, (this is persoal choice).Party and meal at event was provided by the hotel, and was excellent, staff were tentive and we couldn't have asked for better. Superb!!!!Breakfast was again excellent choice was superb, ht food was brilliant, again staff were brilliant, helpful to the last.If this is the greeting, quality and staff treatment then I would always select Novatel to stop at! I would however definately stop again and recommend this hotel..

Clean ,comfortable , very near the city center.Good value for money.I have been staying in this hotel the last 3 years and this was my third stay.I have brought my family this time and we were all very happy.Will recommend anybody visiting Ipswich.

Great place to stay.Check-in was very straightforward, rooms are clean and well maintained.Bed was comfortable and shower facilities are good.Parking on site is reasonably priced for a town centre spot.Check-out was straightforward too, especially as I was leaving at 0530.I didn't eat or drink here during this stay, but I have in the past and food quality is high.
