Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Honfleur"

16th May 2012, B777Guy, Fort Worth, Texas, USA

We arrived in Honfleur after a long flight into Paris then two train rides plus a bus trip and was very pleased to see that the hotel was very central to everything and a very short walk from the bus terminal. I appreciated the excellent service and the free internet was especially helpful since we needed to keep track of any changes to out itinerary for a cruise we were picking up. They were also very helpful in arranging a cab for us to take us to the ship. We were very pleased overall with both the Mercure and the city of Honfleur.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good value and location"

29th April 2012, fran_davies510, Swansea, United Kingdom

Arrived at this hotel at 9am after a night crossing and in the pouring rain. Reception staff were very helpful and were able to allocate a room straight away which was a blessing. Rear parking also ideal and good value. The room was spotless and bathroom had a bath and shower. Only a few minutes walk into the centre of Honfleur so really good location.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Honfleur"

24th April 2012, helenmeixner, London, United Kingdom

Honfleur is a lovely place to stay and this hotel is a good serviceable base. As a typical small Mercure it is not full of charm but the people were particularly pleasant, especially the breakfast staff, which made it a relaxed and easy experience to be there. Its advantages are its central location, rooms with everything one needs (good bedside lights, constant hot water, comfortable beds) and ample parking. The breakfast buffet is excellent and we found it very good value for money.

Mercure Honfleur: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A great hotel in a fabulous town"

10th April 2012, AccorGoldCarder, Nottingham

We're regular visitors to Honfleur and the fabulous Mercure in Honfleur is our preferred choice of accomodation. This was our first family break for two years and we were looking forward to the week in Normandy and the Mercure didn't disappoint. We arrived early as we travelled on an overnight ferry from Portsmouth and fortunately our rooms were available on arrival. Check-in is always an important time as it sets the tone for the whole stay. A lady called Catherine checked us in efficiently, politely and quickly making us feel welcome. Both our rooms on the 4th floor looked out on the Pont de Normandie and they were immaculately presented, clean and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning and it was excellent; a good selection of hot and cold foods, fresh meats and fruit and regular offers of fresh tea and coffee. My son and I used the bar in the evening and watched football and the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. There is parking to the rear of the hotel and this is charged for; but so is the street parking and carparks close to the hotel. The hotel carpark has a sturdy gate and you have to buzz in and out, so at least your car is safe. The hotel is 2-3-mins from the town centre and there are some great restaurants around the harbour. It's in a good location and easy to get to.If you've read this so far you'll probably guess that we are fans of the Mercure Honfleur. We've stayed there before and we'll stay again. I highly recommend this hotel with its friendly and welcoming staff.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Valentine's Day in Honfleur"

19th February 2012, Saint Germain en Laye

Perfectly located and with secure and cheap parking. Ideal for Honfleur and the great restaurants as you do not need to worry about drinking and driving. Also only 15km from Deauville and much less expensive.Hotel staff very friendly.Need to have better pillows and more of them. everything in the room worked and it was very clean and fresh.Perfect view of the bridge over La Seinne. We'll be back.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Weekend Get Away"

19th January 2012, Paris, France

Nice hotel, 5 minute walk to the harbour area. Rooms were clean and the service friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would choose this hotel again. Would recommend eating at La Tortue if you visit. The food was excellent and the restaurant and staff charming.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "3 day break in honfleur"

30th September 2011, Cambridge, United Kingdom

this is a modern hotel well situated 10 minutes walk from the town centre. It is clean well kept with its own car park (10 Euros extra). if you have a mind to save on the parking there is a public car park across the road (400 yards) at a cost of 3 Euros per day.We stayed in a room overlooking the river which was nice but noisy when the windows were open. As there was no aircon we often had the windows open.WE had breakfast as part of the package. This was the weakest part of the trip. everything was fresh and there was an organic corner of the table but the weakness lay in the coffee (burnt, not fresh) decaf (instant only) scrambled eggs (not bad but cold) and a difficult layout. Bowls were some distance away from the fruit (which was good and fresh). But overall this hotel was clean, well appointed, well located, good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. I would strongly recommend it.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Pericles"

17th September 2011, Pheidipides, Lincolnshire

This hotel is ideally situated for the independant car traveller, with easy link to the A29 in both directions, and a large locked car park to the rear of the hotel for 10 euros per night, although this filled up by 1800hrs. It is only a five minute walk to the harbour with its multiple restaurants. The staff spoke excellent English and were courteous, efficient, and helpful. This will become my preferred night stop on the way to western France.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "park the car and walk Honfleur"

5th September 2011, Northville, Michigan, USA

My teenage son and I stayed here while visiting Honfleur. Drove directly from CDG Paris. Park behind hotel and walk this lovely port city. Wonderful food and sea views to be found down town. This hotel is opposite the quay where cruise ships dock. Noisy street! Good breakfast offered in hotel and very nice service at desk.

Mercure Honfleur: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A lovely day in Honfleur"

9th August 2011, Binic

This hotel is just perfect, always stay in this hotel in Honfleur.Always ask for room over looking the car park very quiet.Safe parking at an extra cost of 10 euros Some improvement on the breakfast is required.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Dogs?"

3rd August 2011, Newtonmore

I chose this hotel from those offering a private car-park, and dogs welcome, but close to the town centre, so we could walk in for dinner by the Bassin. Mercure is more expensive than I usually chose, but 300m from the Vieux Bassin was good. While UK hotels mostly refuse dogs outright, in France there is often a charge for dogs, but this is frequently not enforced, and if it is, is only €3 - 5. This is NOT quoted on the Mercure web-site. I considered €13-80 per dog, per night, to be extortionate, and said so. The manageress told me that a contract is a contract, and that was it! The charge, she told me was in respect of the extra cleaning required. I'd find it difficult to see how €27-60 could be charged over and above the normal room cleaning, every day for normal dogs! On check-out, I was pleased to be told that one dog had been re-credited, in respect of my wife's 2.5 kg Papillon, who sleeps in her own basket.Excellent breakfast!

Mercure Honfleur: 3.0 out of 5 stars "MERCURE HONFLEUR"

30th July 2011, London

The location and parking were good. The staff pleasant and helpful. The bar area was uninviting. There is no air conditioning so having to leave a window open at night there was traffic noise. One of our favourite hotels is the Mercure Cathedral in Reims, which has a good location, good garaging an excellent restaurant and a confortable and inviting bar plus air conditiong in the rooms. The pice of this hotel is virtually the same as the Mercure in Honfleur, so perhaps the price should be reduced for the Honfleur hotel?

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent location"

12th July 2011, Kenley

We've been using this hotel for 10+ years when visiting Honfluer, due to its location very close to the old port & its secure car park (parking can be a nightmare in Honfleur). The hotel is nothing special, generic chain type - but the rooms are good & recently refurbished, and the service is quick & efficient. The free wifi is a welcome bonus too.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Stay"

5th June 2011, wraysbury

Normaly stay at Etap Hotel next door but was fully booked as Obhama was in town! Quite expensive for what it has to offer but in a very good position near shops restaurants and harbour. Has secure parking at rear which is good as parking all metered in Honfleur. Road quite noisy but good view of Pont Normandie (bridge). Did'nt have breakfast as prefered to buy croissants and coffee by the harbour (a lot cheaper!). Bed very comfortable and room clean.

Mercure Honfleur: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Clean hotel and great location to harbour."

30th May 2011, Mukilteo

We stayed in a nicely refurbished room with a view of the water and Normandy Bridge. It is a clean hotel with modern amenities. Good location, within walking distance to the heart of the city. The secured parking lot in back of hotel is a plus. The customer service was also great. My only negative was that the bed was not comfortable to sleep on, to hard.

Mercure Honfleur: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Wonderful find"

9th May 2011, London

Rooms great size with tea and coffee making,tv and fridge. Easy walk of 400 metres to fab choice of restaurants and to beautiful Honfleur. Great Market on Saturday. No need to use your car while here and free parking within 100 metres. There is parking on hotel forecourt but you pay.
