Hotel is well located in the centre of NIMES. Unfortunately there is no elevator connecting the hotel's underground parking to reception, so guests have to carry their luggage up several flights of stairs which is not very nappealing after a long drive, or if you have heavy bags. The breakfast selection is below par for a Novotel (poor selection of cheese/cold cuts/no fresh vegetables/narrow range of pastries,luke warm water for tea, oldish fruit salad/lazy restaurant staff for breakfast.. We found the receptionists very helpful and the cleaning staff do a good job of keeping the rooms clean. Overall, very poor value for money. This hotel does not meet Novotel standards.

This hotel is very well situated in the historic town of Nimes which has an outstanding Roman amphitheatre. The hotel is located within 5 minutes walk of the main attractions and the railway/ bus station. The check in was friendly with a receptionist who also spoke good english ( not that we expect this). The rooms are quite spacious with comfortable beds and modern amenities that I would associate with a good 3 star hotel that is geared to both the leisure and business traveller. The breakfast was decent without being outstanding and catered for both continental and cooked breakfast options.The check out was efficient and the staff were happy to keep our luggage in a locked room while we visited the Roman amphitheatre. This hotel did its job well and I would use it again if visiting Nimes.
