"Good Hotel, ideal for the O2"
22nd May 2012, SunloverDurham, Durham
Good hotel, very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. There was work going on outside but was on the other side of the hotel so didn't hear anything. Five minutes walk from the train and five minutes walk for the bus to the O2 so ideally situated. Breakfast is served in Cafe Rouge which is adjoining and was good value. If you want a full English breakfast it is better to pay for it with the hotel than the restaurant itself. Only negative thing was the bar in the hotel - it only serves limited spirits and bottled beers - not what I call a bar! Would stay there again as it is good value.
"Great stay at Ibis Greenwich - no problems"

Other than I wish we'd been told on the website about the charge for using the hotel's car park, all was excellent with this hotel. Recommended.
"Better than Travelodge"

No frills hotle that is a cut above its direct competitors. Excellent location for Greenwich attractions and Docklands.

Rooms at rear are quieter, as there is currently a building site opposite the front of the hotel, which will be present for quite some time. Some rooms on the second floor also appear to be newer, and have the lovely, roomy, purpose built shower cubicles. Surprised to find Wi-fi was not free. Wanted to have 30 minutes access, but would have had to pay £9.99 for 24 hour access. Plenty of cafes in the area have free access.
"Accor asked for this review, so"

I like the location of this hotel & especially the Cafe Rouge on the ground floor.Unfortunately, the hotel was not so good:-1. two members of staff couldn't speak or understand English properly. I know the company is French, but if they're going to work in the UK, they do need to comprehend & speak English if they're going to work 'front of house'. I had to wait 1/2 an hour for a brandy which was going to be poured from a whisky bottle until I noticed & then was told I couldn't charge it to my room, even though on arrival they swiped my card.2. the film service wasn't working - it transpires just in that room - but we turned down the offer of another room, since we were already in bed. At least one of us was, since the other had to get up to go down to reception to report this problem, because 3. the telephone wasn't working, eitherSome TLC missing from this hotel.
"An interesting start to a stay in Greenwich"
14th April 2012, WAKEFIELD
During the evening of the 9th of April, after a long day around central London we were forced to abandon the comforts of our hotel room for the wet weather of Greenwich due to the fire alarm. Several fire engines attended and after the smoke cleared we were simply ushered back into our room, no explanation, no reassurances, nothing. When you don't know how the fire started its hard to fully relax once back in the room. Asked the receptionist the following day about what had happened he said he had been told nothing more about the incident. I know safety is paramount but ushering people back inside a building that had just minutes earlier had smoke coming out of the doors was not acceptable. How can you be sure about your safety when the people with all the information refuse to communicate. - Miss J Firth

Management responseDear Miss J.First, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the fire alarm on the 9th of April. I am also sorry that you did not feel reassure when allowed to come back to the hotel following such stressful situation. We only allowed our guests to enter the building when the fire brigade told us that there was no risk anymore and that the situation was under control. We obviously would not have jeopardized our guest’s security, which is our main priority.Thank you for your comments and I look forward to welcoming you again in Ibis London Greenwich. With renew apologies.Kind regardsMahmoud

"Very pleasant stay"
13th April 2012
We had a very pleasant stay in Ibis Greenwich. The hotel is in a quiet place, with good transport connections.
"Ideal for Greenwich"
11th April 2012, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
Good budget hotel which is literally "just round the corner" from everything that you'd want to see in Greenwich.
"Was it worth the saving ...."
29th March 2012, Paris, France
Well positioned and an ok price .... We stayed here as we were close to a venue we had to attend for a wedding....... But consider no bar fridge, a seriously firm mattress , a building site opposite (no warning of this) and a room placed above the air con units for the building ... not to mention the £££ e had to pay for late night taxi fares from city .....Would pay to spend those extra few dollars and upgrade somewhere else.... Pay the extra for the included Breakfast in Cafe Rouge if you must stay here....... Brilliant !!!!!!!

"Typical English Custom"
8th September 2011, Abuja, Nigeria
want a good English breakfast or meal or a clean and courteous hotel personnel try the Greenwich Ibis Hotel located in the business area of Greenwich and less than 40 mins to city centre. it was easy going and coming back from city centre. The rooms were neat but the beds where small compared to my size, but with was changed as soon as I complained, the entire staff of the Hotel were very friendly and courteous. Its a nice place to be for a Holiday or rest.

"Location"
3rd September 2011, Cambridge, United Kingdom
The hotel is situated close to Greenwich Park, about 5 min walk. The closest tube station is Cutty Sark. Location and price are two most important factors in picking this hotel. They should provide a free wifi.

"Greeat Hotel Reception needs attention"
18th May 2011, Portsmouth
I stay in this hotel often, and love Greenwich as a location. The hotel is perfectly placed for O2 and also is a lovely place with great local restaurants and markets. However, I have to say on this occasion the reception staff were not very well informaed with local knowledge. The area around the Cutty Sark is under developement and I asked about access to the Clipper Boats. They had no idea, and struggled to understand what I was actually asking them about.

Management responseGood evening,Thank you for your constructive comments. It is difficult to know everything around our area but we will try to be better the next time you will stay with us, which I hope will be soon, thanks to the O2.Thanks againMahmoud DJAFERGenearal Manager

"Ibis Greenwich - overnight stay"
8th April 2011, Huddersfield
The hotel was well positioned, clean, good service and with parking facilities. The rooms (particularly the bathroom) were well maintained. There were however two things that let it down - firstly the room was on the small side (particularly as compared with a standard Premiere Inn) and the beds rather too hard for our tastes.
"Beautiful Greenwich"
16th February 2011, Cirencester
We were warmly welcomed by Maria as soon as we arrived, and she continued to offer us good service every time we met her at reception. The room was perfectly acceptable, though we didn't spend much time in it! Greenwich is an extremely desirable part of London, with a great variety of shops, restaurants, bars, attractions. The location of the hotel is absolutely top notch, with extremely cheap carparking a real bonus. Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel (in fact, already have!).
