Novotel Bayeux: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Trip to Bayeux"

1st May 2012, Wizardman49, Calimesa, California, USA

Great hotel; don't let the pictures fool you. Good service, good food, everything excellent.Outside does not do it justice; would stay there again with no hesitation.Rented a car, drove from Paris with our TomTom gps, could not have been easier.

Novotel Bayeux: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Stay in Bayeux France Jan 2012"

25th January 2012, North Olmsted, Ohio, USA

Everything was very nice at this hotel. If we are in the area again, we would stay there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I discovered I have to make this review 200 characters long to complete submit - not sure why!

Novotel Bayeux: 2.0 out of 5 stars "DISAPPOINTED"

7th October 2011, Salisbury, United Kingdom

Is Novotel a premium brand of Accor? Not from this visit. Bedroom was tired with stained carpet and peeling paint. Minibar was removed because of abuse by guests! Tea, coffee and cups (paper!) not replenished in room. Three coach parties were also staying so restaurant and service difficult at times. Kitchen and restaurant staff used the guest terrace for smoking breaks. Great location for visiting Calvados & Cherbourg peninsula.

Novotel Bayeux: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Novolel Bateau"

7th October 2011, TWAPilot01, Minnesota, USA

Good value--especially if you have a car. Plenty of parking and good access to ring road around Bayeau. About an 18 minute walk to center of town. Not hilly. Breakfast was good but expensive. If you go to Mere ST Eglise, try the Auberge John Steele for dinner. Great dinner. But doesn't open until 715PM. Most of town shuts down at 630PM

Novotel Bayeux: 4.0 out of 5 stars "On the edge of town"

5th October 2011, Sligo, Ireland

If you want quaint french character then this modern hotel is not for you but great service from the staff and a very plesant stay..On the edge of town (Bayeux isn't big) but about 20 mins walk to the town centre.

Novotel Bayeux: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Location"

3rd September 2011, Dublin, Ireland

We stayed for just one night. It is a 10 minute easy walk to Bayeux, along a very pretty street. It is also a short drive to Omaha beach. The hotel was very child friendly with rooms big enough for 4 although the sofa bed would not be big enough for 2 teenagers. The X-box in reception proved very successful, drawing a small crowd of boys at night. The room and bath room, was very clean. the only negative for us, was that the stucco was a little crumbley around the window. The beds were not all that comfortable but would definitely stay here again if staying withs kids as it was so child friendly, we had a relaxing stay.

Novotel Bayeux: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Fabulous Bayeux"

15th August 2011, NORTH WALES

Clean and comfortable hotel next to roundabout. Plenty of free parking. Few minutes walk to city centre. Friendly and helpful staff.. Air conditioned so can shut windows to traffic noise. Good choice for breakfast.

Novotel Bayeux: 5.0 out of 5 stars "best hotel we have stayed in in " weeks"

3rd August 2011, amboise

Novotel Bayeux: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A great location for a very good hotel"

3rd June 2011

We stayed in here in May and chose the hotel based on reviews and its location. We were very glad we did, when we strolled into Bayeux. it is a lovely town but very narrow streets and lots of pedestrians, some of whom were quite elderly and took a while to cross the road. It would have a been a nightmare to drive into the main area. It is about a ten minute stroll into town and is all flat so no hills. The hotel itself is comfortable and has ample parking. It is not luxury but the price reflects this and it also has a nice garden and pool area where you can sit out and read. The staff are very helpful, friendly and speak perfect English. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on meals, we had a drink in the bar and that was fine. I would recommend this hotel for people who come to see the tapestry and the battle sites and who are happy to stay a little outside of town.

Novotel Bayeux: 5.0 out of 5 stars "normandy"

16th May 2011

In a good quiet position, within walking diatance from the station or spend 8 euros on a taxi.Room inviting, clean and well presented. Found restaurant offered well presented and quailty dinner, bar service also v good. Had one breakfast and found hot food cold or luke warm, not good when it was offered at 7.00am and had had breakfast at 7.30am.Offered free water thru out my stay and assisted with my your bookink, found all staff pleasnt and helpfull. If i was to go back i would stay there again.

Novotel Bayeux: 4.0 out of 5 stars "good value for money"

4th May 2011, Waterloo

good location, we used this location as a base to explore the Normandy beaches and Mont-St-Michel; hotel staff were friendly and addressed our concerns promptly; rooms are a good size and the beds, including the sofa bed, are reasonably comfortable; quiet location close to shops; free parking; carpets could have been cleaner; the hotel restaurant could have opened earlier in the evening to accommodate families with young children; overall a good value for your money

Novotel Bayeux: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Bayeux"

28th April 2011, Ware, United Kingdom

A conveniently located hotel within walking distance of the town centre. We experienced noisy guests in the corridor outside our room around midnight with shouting and slamming doors. We presume it was a coach party of teenagers on a school trip. It can be used as a base for visiting D-Day museums. The hotel is also within walking distance of Bayeux War Cemetery. There is a Leclerc supermarket nearby.

Novotel Bayeux: 3.0 out of 5 stars "A bit dated"

27th January 2011, Brisbane

Hotel reception and hallways very dated, with fading/stained carpets. Rooms were clean and tidy- but we booked a family room and was way to small to be called that!! We had nowhere to put up the baby cot!Service was good, resturant very nice. Internet in reception was issue- keyboard not normal...whatever the button said is not what it meant for the numbers and signs -made it very hard to log into email etc....Pretty good location.
