Ask for top floor rooms to get view over city skyline! Great location. It is a Ibis chain hotel so expect the Accor livery. If you after a cosy family run hotel then this won't be for you.

Ibis centrum is very centrally located and has very good access to everything one might want on a weekend getaway. The hotel was nice, with pleasant staff and a bargain price obtained online. The tramline from the station is so close, you could easily lug your own suitcase the few 100 yards walk to the hotel. All the touristy sights are accessible within walking distance and the shopping area is closeby too.

Good hotel but room at noisy street and a smoker next door reduced the comfort.Good service (friendly) and nice breakfast buffet. Internet access was too pricy for regular connection speed (was surely not "high speed"

"Location, location, location!"

Excellent location on the main square in Gent and a room with a view of the cathedral. Just wish I could have stayed longer!All the normal amenities you'd expect from an Ibis with the bonus of on site car parking in the basement. Note the entrance to the car park is very tight and difficult to get into in a large car/SUV.

"Location is just awesome"

it is hard to find a hotel with a better location for exploration of historical centre of Gent. Window of our room gave us a view of the cathedral which was just literally - across the street. Rooms where what you usually expect from Ibis - standard and without special amenities. But you get what you pay for. Service was on the average level, as example, the room was ready for checking in only by 15h00. On one of mornings breakfast area was not manned.

A typical IBIS - clean, friendly staff, excellent location. The only prolem is parking - the information given in the booklet does not say that only 16 cars can park in the hotel carpark, and there is not even an area in front of he hotel where you can park your car while you take out your luggage - it is very inconvenient!!!

"A great city break"

Gent is a surprisingly beautiful city and the situation of the hotel is perfect to explore the gorgeous centre. Plenty of places to stop for a drink or have something to eat and people watch. We found it easy to visit Bruges and Brussels by train whilst staying at our hotel in Gent. A most enjoyable city break!

"Gent Stag Party"

Excellent location with a great view from the room, staff were friendly, efficient and booked restraunts, taxis etcThe room itself was average (on the small side) and the decor isn't anything to write home about but it was clean and quiet apart from the church bells in the morning but that's part of the charmThe bar is standard but you won't spend very long in there with all the great places to go out right on your doorstepWe didn't eat breakfast at the hotel (we were just coming home by then) but you can order to the room if you wishThe best thing is the location, location, location

"Sleeping under the belltower of St Baafs"

The service of Ibis Gent Kathedraal is excellent. Friendly personnel, helping to solve problems whenever necessary. The room is very recognisable Ibis of course, clean and practical. Location of Ibis Kathedraal is very nice, directly across St Baafs, with view on Belfort, Stadhuis and so on. Amenities are good, breakfast of a nice diversity - for all tastes. Only a pity that the city of Ghent is taking a very long time for all reconstruction works directly in the centre!

"OK for simple overnight stay in the centre of Gent"

OK hotel; clean, service, breakfast, rooms, bar are all OK. No negative remarks.Good value for business travellers, no luxury but all basic elements are there in good quality. Parking garage may be a bit larger, although this was the first in about ten visits that the garage was full.

"Excellent Location"

You know exactly what you're going to get at an Ibis Hotel - no frills basic accommodation. Hotel and room were very clean, well maintained and the staff were extremely helpful. This hotel is in an absolutely excellent location right in the centre of Ghent - close to all the places of interest and with many restaurants and bars nearby.
