"Broken Lifts"
26th March 2012, Diss, United Kingdom
For most of our three day stay the lift was either not functioning or only sporadically doing so , (we were on the 5th floor),the rooms had poorly fitting doors and slammed easily so not good news for anybody wishing fora lie in. The bedroom was extremely cramped and lacking in space and the shower worked but only just...
"A few details"
19th February 2012, Rouen, France
Gobally good, but a few annoying details. One of the bedside lights did not work properly, the plug of the sink could not be operated (I eventually removed it completely). The restaurant menu is fairly poor, the breakfast is average. But the hotel is clean, the staff is nice, the area is quiet. Overalll satisfactory and good value for money despite a few defaults which could be corrected by an adequate maintenance survey.
"Good compromise to be inside Paris and near the parisian Metro."
11th February 2012, Mumbai (Bombay), India
Good location. Quality more than acceptable and service OK.Only the room size is a little small if you are travelling with big luggages.Alesia is close to Montparnasse Area which is a very good place to spend time and have good dinners.I recommend
"Alesia Hotal"
3rd September 2011, Bordeaux
Cheap hotel in Paris.Even if a little bit far from City center, its location is convenient to go downtown.Just take care that it happens that buses arrive at the hotel, and too many people come in at the same time which is a mess for diner or to pay...
"Hotel Ibis Alesia Montparnasse - Location great for us!"
30th June 2011, Prague
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Location good, metro station to go to city center is close. Train station to CDG airport easily assessible by this metro line 4. Only 3 stops. Hotel situated in residental area so more calm with lots of restaurant around. you can walk to Montparnasse where they are many nice restaurants patroned by the locals. Good shops for shopping around this area and Montparnasse. Only, the rooms are not sound-proofed and we can hear the conversation of the guests next door clearly!! All in all, basic and good hotel for short stay and not too expensive.
"Nice quiet location, good bargain, with restaurant"
5th June 2011, Milwaukee
This is in a residential area, away from a lot of the hustle and bustle of busier streets. It's about 200-250 m from the nearest metro (line 4 at Alesia) and 250-300 m from line 13 (Plaisance). There are grocery stores nearby too, for small items or snacks. The room was typical Ibis, with very flat/thin indoor-outdoor type carpeting, a TV, comfortable bed, shower, etc. This would not be a convenient location if you do not like to walk a long distance to the metro. There is a bus stop (#58) that is closer, but then you have traffic. There are also not a lot of taxis, so you have to request/book one if you want it.I did not try the restaurant, but it looked nice enough. There seemed to be some people staying with tour packages... not a big deal, though.
"Very very good"
2nd June 2011, Caen, França
The hotel has a very good localization and all the staff are very helpful. Don´t except a big room, by the way it is very very small. We barelly could move in a certain part of the room ´cause we were with 3 bagagges but it was really woth to spend 5 nights there.
"Inexpensive, adequate but challenged"
21st April 2011, etaoin, California Coast
A friend who recommended it said "it's an Ibis, don't expect too much." For the price I suppose that's right and at about 100 Euro a night in Paris I suppose it was reasonable value. The elevators were intermittently broken (a friend got stuck in one for half an hour), several times there was a strong smell of disinfectant or other cleaning stuff in the carpets in the hall which were rather dirty. My room was OK, a friend's was badly in need of renovations. The breakfast was adequate -- cereal, breads, yoghurt, juice, coffee, one cold meat and one cheese, Spanish "tortilla" of potatoes but no eggs. Rather snarky signs in the breakfast room forbidding guests from taking any food away with them. Free wifi that worked OK.
