Hotel Mercure Brussels Airport: 4.0 out of 5 stars "They were very accommodating"

30th April 2012

I checked in early, and they didn't have a room available yet, and I've never seen hotel staff bend over backwards to ensure that I was taken care of the way they did. The got me a cup of coffee while I waited (only a short wait) and it was one of the best cups I ever had. If you are traveling on business and need to be on the outskirts of town, this is a great location-- downtown by the Grand Place is too traffic heavy to get in and out easily. Beware the airport shuttle-- it was convenient to the airport, but from the airport it only runs specific hours, and I missed it-- had to take a cab instead, which meant standing in a long line. The restaurant is OK, typical EU breakfast and limited dinner choices, the rooms are bigger than I would have expected, and it struck me as pretty clean. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Hotel Mercure Brussels Airport: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Internet Service"

7th October 2011, Seoul, South Korea

Inconvenient to use internet. each time I had to come down to lobby for getting password. Many business hotels offer easy access to internet service at room. I am not arguing about service quality, but the service process.

Hotel Mercure Brussels Airport: 3.0 out of 5 stars "HR Manager"

3rd September 2011, Ghent

I normally stay in Gent 1-2 occasions per month and mostly stay at IBIS Cathedral/Opera. The reason for staying at IBIS is that it is a fair price with a standard that is ok. I´m am very dependent on having a good internet connection (and I believe most other business people are as well) but have experienced several times a relatively bad connection (wireless). So an improved internet connection would be appreciated.
