One feels guilty about criticizing this hotel, as the staff were without exception as helpful and friendly as one could wish, but it was very average.The location is OK if you have a car. If you are relying on public transport, take care on Sundays as there is no reasonable bus service. Taxi to/from Pau - c€11.On arrival, the room we were first given had an unpleasant smell - we were moved to another room without any problem. Rooms comfortable if basic. Food reasonable if pricey. Bar lacking any character whatsoever. Pool looked nice but did not use.It did the job satisfactorily, but next time in Pau I would look for something with more character in a better location.
