ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 1.0 out of 5 stars "dirty hotel, way too expensive for the quality of the room"

23rd April 2012, gracieomg, Jurong, Singapore

hotel is dirty, service is poor.toilet is perpetually wet after bath, air circulation in toilet is not good enough, toilet bowl has water pressure

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 3.0 out of 5 stars "One night only"

17th February 2012, GlennAus, London

Great location for a night. Cheap parking and very central for the middle of town and a night out for dinner. Only footsteps from the cathedral and fine dining, likewise, the hotel is good for a nightcap on the way home or on the way out for that matter.

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Could be better..."

14th January 2012, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Very noisy during the day because of a heavy construction site in the neighbour building . We had to change the room but still we had trouble sleeping since the bed was unconfortable . Other than that, usual ibis standard, parking and breakfast are paid. The hotel location is quite good. If don´t stay longer than 2 days it is a good option.

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Amazing Staff, Horrible Bed, and someones alarm"

8th January 2012, heavyroller, Maryland

WE stayed here for 2 nights, and let me start off by saying that the woman that was working at the front desk, Pascal was amazing. She was knowledgeable, funny and knew the area and had no problem talking to me in English. Now ont the bad parts, the "beds" were the famous Ibis wooden planks with a mattress pad on it, why anyone would think they are a good idea is beyond me. I think next time I book with Ibis I will ask if they have a real bed or this excuse of a bed. The last night we were there, there was an alarm that started going off at around 4 am, and no one seemed to care to shut it off until about 6 am, I dont know if it was in the hotel or across the street, but I would have thought that the hotel would have tried to do something about that for the comfort of their guests. The hotel had a great location, close to Rue Sainte-Catherine, the really cool shopping street in Bordeaux, there was good food only a few blocks away ( Ask Pascal for her recommendations) and in walking distance to the waterfront.Just an FYI, after you pay for the parking in the lobby, the machine to put your card in is at the bottom of the ramp out of the garage. Dont make the mistake that I did and think it was at the top of the stairs and have to someone back down a steep winding incline.I would stay here again, but please please please Ibis, give us a real bed!

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Great location but poor quality"

22nd September 2011, IrelandMaryG, Ireland

I stayed at this hotel last weekend. The room was on the 5th floor and had double glazing which kept away noise from the street, but there was quite a bit of noise coming from other rooms and the corridor, even though I had specifically requested a quiet room. The room was very basic, supposed to be a twin but one was a small single facing lengthways. The bathroom fittings were very old and dated and both rooms need a serious makeover, as does the hotel in general. But the shower worked, the beds were reasonably comfortable. On the upside, the hotel is in a good location, a little tricky to get to from the airport - you need to take a bus first, then change onto a tram - but only 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral, Tower and City Hall and lots of nice cafes and a Moniprix Shopping Centre with some nice boutiques.

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Building site"

5th September 2011, Sibarrett, London

Although this is a good hotel and the location is great for Bordeaux, there was a building site next door which we were not told about and given a room directly above it. They started work at 7.00am with the whole hotel shaking as the drilled the foundations. The staff are a bit slow and not very helpful, but otherwise a typical Ibis hotel and would be fine if no building going on next door. Also the Novotel and Etap share the same block.

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Value and Good Location"

28th July 2011, Nontron

I contemplated booking a privately owned hotel but then decided to play safe and book an Ibis. No regrets. Nothing startling, but for the price, the hotel was in a good location, clean and comfortable room (king size bed - always welcome!) bathroom was fairly basic but clean and a decent size. Staff were pleasant. Only one complaint (apart from the car parking charges - reduced rates for residents would have been nice) I know they want you to use their restaurant, but facilities to make a hot drink would have been appreciated.Overall good value for money.

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Bordeaux"

5th May 2011, wolverhampton

Accomodation was good bed was a little uncomfortable, hotelstaff were pleasant and helpful. The food in restaurant (we had Steak which was of very poor quality) and service apart from one waitress who was very helpful was poor.

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Bordeaux in early spring"

30th April 2011, SW17LondonPaul, London

Centrally located, close to the main tram network for Bordeaux. Accessible on foot to all the sights of the city. If the hotel is busy, breakfast can get a bit manic as the breakfast area runs out of seating. My room was pretty much standard Ibis fare and the bathroom was laid out better than some Ibis hotel rooms elsewhere. Air conditioning could do with functioning a little better on 11th floor as the heat from the building itself as well as 28C outside made it a little uncomfortable. Overall though, good value.

ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Just a basic room."

25th March 2011, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

I was disappointed with how limited the rooms were - no fridge, coffee making facilities, a faulty shower head and poor airflow meaning hot and stuffy rooms. I could have paid the same elsewhere, and got more. On top of that, all the rooms we had smelt smokey.
