"Our weekend break in Merdon"

When we arrived we asked for a non-smoking room. It was very apparent someone had smoked very recently in there. After opening the window for fresh air fresh ash was on the window cill which was washed by the rain in the night. There was no spare pillow in the plastic bag which was on the shelf in the wardrobe and the blanket had obviously been used. The bathroom is not the same standard as the other Ibis hotels we have regularly stayed in. The toilet cistern was stained and the shower was shabby. The room was otherwise clean. The buffet breakfast was good Sunday morning and the evening meal was not so good. The dessert was not the usual standard. Breakfast the next morning was spoilt by the filthy floor which still had chips and debris from the night before. I presusme this Ibis is due for a facelift. It is a great shame it has been let slide as it is in a lovely location.

My family and I have stayed on several occasions at this IBIS Hotel over recent years in order to be near family who live in Sevres. We have always found the location convenient, the hotel very good for its price, and the staff very pleasant and helpful.I would gladly recommend the hotel to friends.
