"Perfect setting"

We were travelling with our 2 year old. The pool setting was perfect for her. She could nap outside. Staff was really friendly and helpful. We'll definitely go back to this hotel when we'll be back in LA.

Even though it was one night, it was amazing.. Great food, excellent room.. Wish the tub was a little larger to fit 2 people comfortably . Valet was quick and with a CVS and Beverly Center Mall across the street it was very easy to grab a quick bite and any other needs.

Excellent hotel for business traveler. Room is well-organized, with good lighting and desk space. High speed internet available, but frustrating that it must be purchased. Room service is prompt. and in-house restaurant offers good selections. Seating in the bar is too hip for my tastes, and lounge seating is uncomfortable. But overall, the hotel is a solid choice.

I stayed at this hotel as it was near a venue I needed to attend over the weekend. It is a beautiful hotel. The staff is phenomenal, personable and attentive. I will definitely stay here again.The only thing that sort of irked me was that they charge for internet. They do have a slow free wi-fi available, however, if you really want to do anything online then it is a charge. I think that is ridiculous considering what you pay there for a night's stay.

Depending on your reason to visit LA the Sofitel is a great location. Beverley Centre with Macy's right across the road. Hop on Hop bus stop also across the road - good value as you get to stop and wander at various tourist spots. Great cafes next block in 3rd Street. Check out desserts at Magnolia Bakery in 3rd Street and also Joan's on 3rd for a hearty breakfast etc with the LA set. The Grove and Farmers Market easy stroll from hotel.Service was freindly and mostly helpful but bar service needs a shake up. Although a little pricey would definately recommend and would consider staying there again on next visit to LA.

This hotel is away from all the tourist sites but close enough to get to most of them without being right in the middle of the crowds and noise. Mall is across the road and plenty of dining options nearby.

Lack of space and facilities in room. My sister and I where in a twin room. There was nowhere to put a suitcase to unpack or pack, no tea or coffee making facility, refridgerator door wouldn't close and when fixed still didn't work, no garbage bin in bathroom, an environmental sign asked us to reuse towels but there was nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. There was an area in the lobby where we were suppose to be able to make a coffee and I each occasion I checked there was no coffee available. Stone Lounge located on premises is extremely over priced - a glass of wine and a scotch and coke costing over $27.00. Would not recommend as I consider it to be over priced for the overall quality.

Everything about this hotel is good.The staff, the rooms, the 4 PM check out for A-Card holders, the bars, the facilities.Execellent location; close to shopping, restaurants, transport.What more can be said.
"Lousy beds"

Beds were awful! Very hard bed with a pillow top mattress cover. It didn't help cover up the lousy mattress. Rest of hotel was nice.I shared a bed with my daughter and mattress pad covers 2/3 matress so quite uncomfortable. Breakfasts were great but pricey.
"The worst room location I have had"

I have stayed at this hotel many times. This visit was the worst located room I have had. 3rd floor...No view. End of hall #301. I also had to ask for drink vouchers normally given. They told me they forgot...

The Sofitel is well situated. Across the road from Beverly Hills shopping centre. Service and amenities were superb. Simon LA is an excellent restaurant with great service. Lounge looked good, but no opportunity to use. Beds are excellent.
