"Milan on a budget"

We didn't want to spend a fortune as it was only a two-night break, so the Ibis was our choice and it was fine. Good breakfasts, clean and tidy room and just a short walk into the centre of Milan. Have come to rely on this chain in England and abroad.

We stayed only 1 night: - we spent 15 minutes to open the rooms' doors due to unreadable key cards- the rooms were not clean with hair in the linen...- the receptionist had difficulties to cancel the guarantee during the check-out- we waited for 20 minutes a server at the bar and we finally left without any drink- At the end, there wasn't air conditioning in the rooms and the outside temperature was 28°! (For this point, this is probably not related to the establishment itself but more to the law in Milano about the period when air conditioning is allowed or not )

- Problem with adaptator for Italian plugs, not possible to have one from the hotel to charge my phone and laptop. So I did not have my phone or laptop for the staying...then I have discovered that there was an European plug in the bathroom so I charged my phone and laptop in the bathroom...not very ideal!

"Beware the parking charges!"

We booked this hotel based on the fact that the website included 'parking' in the facilities as we hired a car, nowhere did it mention that it would cost 20 Euros a day to park in the car park across the road! They should be more upfront about this on their site - we would have booked elsewhere with parking had we known. When I explained this to the man at the check-in desk he said they used to have a parking lot 3 years ago, but they closed it and they were not willing to compensate us (not even meet us halfway) for the unexpected charges we had to pay. Dissatisfied customer!

This hotel is well located with a tram line literally just at the end of the street. It's also a short walk from the Piazza Republicca M3 underground station as well as being near the Porto Venezia M1 underground station.The staff at the hotel were very helpful when there was a problem and all spoke a variety of languages. They offer safety deposit boxes and luggage storage FREE OF CHARGE, you can even use the internet free for 15mins- just enough time for on-line flight check-ins. The rooms are basic but have everything you need for a good nights sleep. All in one gel provided for hand, face, hair and body washing if you don't want to bring your own toiletries.There is a restaurant on site but also many restaurants close by if you don't want to go too far in the evening.

The hotel is nice, well located and well educated employees, but thought it should have room service.It is uncomfortable to have to go to the restaurant to buy something when we want to eat inside the room.

The Ibis Milano Centro is conveniently located within a 10 min. walk from Milano Centrale (the main train station, where a bus from Malpensa Airport will drop you). It is just a five minute walk away from a metro station, and from here you can be at the Duomo in less than ten minutes. If you decide to walk it will take you about 20 min to get to the Piazza del Duomo.The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and offers free WiFi. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was smallish, but this did not inconvenience me. It is relatively close to a busy avenue, and there is some noise in the evening.I would go back. It's great value for money.

Great Location, near Central Station, good price.Comfortable bed, few TV program, good and cheap food at the hotel restaurant. Taxi services in front. Only 15 free minutes on the internet in the hotel lobby. 2 Euro for 3 hours internet access.

Very central location (we walked from the main railway station) to be met by a very friendly and professional welcome. The room was clean, perfectly adequate (and warm!), with a great view of the Duomo in the distance. Bed was comfortable. Despite priomising a simple breakfast facility for late risers from 10.30-noon, the coffee machine was switched off and coldmeat and cheese cleared away at 10.30 which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, it was incredible value. Be alert at night - its in a residential area where dog owners do not pick up the dog poop!

Ibis Milano Centro is a very good value for money hotel. Very good located within walking distance of Central Station and Metro La Republicca. Breakfast buffet of Ibis Milano Centro is very good.Now they only have to make WiFi complimentary in all fare types.

Clean, comfortable, reasonable prices - what more can you ask for ? The walk to the station was about 10 mins but the trams ran along side the hotel if you prefered to use them. Many places of interest were within walking distance. I would stay here again.

During my stay housekeeping took accidently my wifes pijama top. It is lost. I have write about this.I'm still waiting for a reply from the hotel and I didn't receive anything yet. Also they couldn't find my membership and my this visit is not recorded. I'm waiting for solution to all these.

The hotel is short walk from centralle and clean nice rooms free wi-fi dwnstrs bonus. Check in was easy and front desk were helpful the bar area was nice and quiet and affordable. Very well located close to metro stop also

This hotel isgood value for money, although it's a bit out of the city centre the price is right. The accomodation is ok, as are the restaurants, not mind blowing but good enough to spend some days without worries. Other hotels in Milaan are outrageously expensive and offer not nearly so much as this Ibis hotel.Bad thing is that Internet is NOT free, this is weird as I had internet for free in other Ibis hotels. Thinks Italy is different...

Perfect location and the best place for the money. Clean small rooms, helpfull staff, everything necessary nearby. I highly reccommend it as a base for shopping and sightseeing trip in Milano. I am planning to stay there next time again.

The hotel is located in the city centre which provides convenience in term of locality. Yet it is at a very quiet neighbourhood surrounded by quite a number of Chinese and other restaurants. It is 10-15 minutes walking distant from the central rail station which a subway line running within 3 mins walking distance.The hotel itself is pretty pleasant, a bar and a cafe for meals, though no service is available after midnight. The staff is friendly and room is clean and relatively spacious. Heating system sufficent and good. Wifi is not free but pretty reasonably price and very efficent.The breakfast is good though snack and food available for lunch and dinner are rather limited. Perhaps dining in is not quite popular as many restuarants are available nearby. One needs to ensure stocking up, including hot water as the room does not have any such facility.Otherwise, there is really little that one can complain about in a hotel which clean, pleasant, friendly and helpful staff readily available. More so, the price is right.Rgds

Good for a shopping tour. A hotel is close to Metro station and even in a walking distance from the center (but probably not during winter season).Some rooms have city views, presumably you will need 6th or higher floor to see anything.
