ibis Blois Centre Chateau: 5.0 out of 5 stars "The best hotel on our trips"

1st May 2012, Veideol, Tallinn, Estonia

Excellent location: in the old town, closely to the castle and near to the railway station. We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The room was very silent - window left in the yard - and very convenient. In a room there was a big bathroom.Stuff is very friendly and helpful. It is possible to do and print out flights check-ins.

Very clean room, very nice staff. Hotel is right in the centre of Blois, facing the castle. Blois is the perfect place to start your visit of the Loire valley and the castles.Beautiful breakfast "à la française".Highly recommended!

ibis Blois Centre Chateau: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great location and good value for money"

18th September 2011

Wanted hotel close to town centre and Chateau that offered secure car parking, out of all the hotels in Blois this one ticked all of the boxes. OK the rooms are not the biggest but value for money more than compensates. Buffet breakfast was very good and plentiful and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Only criticism is that it would be nice to have had towels as well as bath towels.

The location is excellent. We had a large room with air conditioning that was clean and comfortable. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful. Lots of good restaurants within a few blocks.

ibis Blois Centre Chateau: 3.0 out of 5 stars "parking issues"

2nd August 2011, leeds

hotel has a very convenient location, close to both the chateau and the city centre, but parking is an issue as the hotel is on a busy road. When people pre-book as we did advice about parking should be given. It is too late to tell you when you arrive at the hotel.

ibis Blois Centre Chateau: 4.0 out of 5 stars "The reliable Ibis"

24th July 2011, Paris

It's a short walk to the chateau, to the central market and shopping. Very comfortable beds, clean, nice old hotel building. Rooms facing street have a good view of the Chateau. Courtyard side is quieter, though.

ibis Blois Centre Chateau: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good value for its price !"

18th July 2011, Edegem

We enjoyed a perfect stay in Blois and surroundings to visit several castles of the Loire. The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of Blois; everything is reachable in walking distance. Our room was on the 4th floor, street-side and we never had any noise problems as long as the windows were shut.

ibis Blois Centre Chateau: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great location for chateau, very helpful staff"

3rd June 2011, Snowcapped, Harpenden

We arrived on a very hot day to a warm welcome from the young lady behind the desk. The room was not huge, but more than adequately sized, with large bed, plenty of storage space and a flat screen TV. The shower was very good. The aircon worked beautifully and was very quiet indeed. Although we were on a main road, there was no discernable traffic noise, and notices advised us to keep the window closed do prevent mosquitoes and other flying insects. The wifi worked OK eventually - although it was a bit slow. The breakfast was good, with a selection of breads, cereal, cheese, yoghourt etc., and a help-yourself coffee machine, which was not as good as freshly made, but still fine. We had parked in a carpark near the cathedral (only a 5 minute walk away, but down about 100 steps!), as the on-street parking outside the hotel was full. On check in, we were advised clearly about all the local parking restrictions, and the easiest and most convenient option was to park in the underground carpark at the Chateau, for a very reasonable €5 for 24 hours. Very simple - the hotel gives you the exit ticket when you're ready to leave. Also, it was secure, and cool, plus it had classical music playing, with none of the whiffs in the stairwells that are so common in the UK! Location was just a couple of minutes' walk to the chateau (which, incidentally, whilst not the most beautiful of those on the Loire, was extremely interesting - we had a very good guide). There was a good range of restaurants within 5-10 minute walk and we were given a map with suggestions by the hotel. Would recommend this hotel for location and helpfulness of staff.
