Excellent value hotel. Walking distance to the old centre of Chartres. We slept at the back so had a very peaceful night considering the proximity to town centre. Excellent secure parking for additional charge.

For an Ibis this hotel was much better than we expected. The location is great - just a 10 minute walk up to the cathedral and some good restaurants, they also have onsite parking, which is a big winner in Chartres. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place was clean and modern. The breakfast was good and well worth the €9 price tag. On the downside the room was a bit tight with two adults and a child and the air con did not work very well. Also give the restaurant a skip for dinner - there are cheaper and better places up in town.

Staff were extremely polite, helpful and welcoming on arrival and during our overnight stay. The room was comfortable, however, too small for 2 adults and a young child. The cover sheet for the pull out bed for our little girl (under the main double bed) was dusty and the duvet cover was ripped, but once made she was comfortable. It was a pity it wasn't already made, ready for her on arrival, as we arrived mid evening and were tired... The bathroom was large and very clean. Complimentary teas and coffees would have been appreciated, as with other hotels, but overall our stay was good.

I had a most enjoyable stay at the Ibis Hotel in Chartres. It was in the perfect location en route back to the UK. An easy walk to the Cathedral and town centre. Friendly and efficient staff. It also has its own little restaurant which is convenient for the solo traveller. The room was comfortable.

Stay here by preference on a regular trip from UK to Limoges area, always a good stay whether eating " upstairs " by the Cathedral or staying "in hotel" .Very welcoming staff.

Excellent hotel for the price. Clean, good location (5 minutes by foot to the Cathedral), comfortable rooms, fast check-in, service was excellent. The only setback is the heating within the hotel; it was impossible to regulate the heat within the room. Far too warm for my liking, even with the window open in the middle of winter.

This hotel gives a superb location at this world class city, it is easy to walk from here to any part of the city. Don't miss the illuminated cathedral and stupendous glass.Ibis Chartres Centre also has its own secure parking - a fantastic bonus.Rooms are good and service friendly - I would recomment it.

Stopped at hotel for one night travelling to South of France. Hotel ideal location for visiting city centre about a 15 minute walk, however most of it up hill. Secure parking was available at the rear of the hotel and there was also on street parking nearby. Ideal location for stop over and visiting city center.

Very clean, helpful staff and a cracking (if a little expensive) very fresh, continental breakfast! Free WiFi is a bonus as is the private parking. It is with in very easy walking distance from the cathedral!

Stayed one night en route to central France. Had room at back of hotel overlooking the small parking area (no need to pay for garage parking, if there is space available here); this meant that there was little noise, even with window open overnight. Small clean and functional room; ideal for one or two nights. Would not recommend for longer stay. Self-service breakfast was fairly extensive and good value.If only visiting overnight, ensure that you leave time to spend part of the morning in the city. Suggest that you cross the bridge outside the front of the hotel and follow the opposite bank of the river (note that the gate in the wall in the small park is a public footpath through a small group of houses). This provides an alternative route into the city and a wealth of small quiet streets to explore. You can't get lost as uphill will always lead to the cathedral; but a street map available from reception will help.
