I strongly recommend this hotel, where beds are extremely comfortable and the staff will always try to be helpful. I like SOFITEL LA DEFENSE.

I and my wife were impressed our stay in Sofitel La Defense last year ( Oct 2012) so we decided to stayed for 3nights this time again. The staffs(especially manager:)) really welcomed us! They just made us feel so special!! Very clean room, kind staffs, good quality sofitel bed! No negative comment at all from my family! I'll definitely come back again!
"Four shortcomings that reduce the rate..."

We have booked the hotel with some discount and were very happy to stay at such an excellent location as we had no car at our disposal in Paris. Although we had great time overall, there were four factors that interfered with fully enjoying our stay: 1. There was constant noise stemming from the use of the bathroom in the rooms above as our room was in the end of the corridor. 2. The internet in the hotel is absurd. One has to register every four hours rather than having the wifi for the entire stay, which is regular practice in many other hotels. 3. The TV system is not user friendly, it is difficult to navigate between the channels, etc. It would be worthwhile replacing it and say goodbye to Philips... 4. The cleaning lady kept coming back to us in the last morning although we have left the room way ahead of check-out time.WIth the discount the price was commensurate with the quality, without it I would not recommend anybody to take it.

"Very good, but not excellent"
9th January 2012, Adelaide, Australia
Whould I stay here again? Maybe. This hotel is very good, but is lacking polish in service. The good:We asked staff for a lunch recommendation. The place they recommended was excellent. We had a great lunch. The rooms are quite large for Paris. We had quite a bit of luggage and there was plenty of room for our two large suitcases and two small suitcases. The not so good:We stayed at this hotel for 6nights. On a number of days our room was not serviced until 17.15. When we got back to our room at 16.00 and noticed that the room had not been serviced we spoke to someoneat reception and was told that it would be done immediately - it took a further hour to have our room cleaned. When the room was serviced there were always things that had not been replaced or refreshed - one day it would be the coffee and milk, the next day there was no bath mat, the next day it was no face washers. Whilst each of this things are fairly minor it does get annoying having to ring housekeeping to fix these problems. The minor problems were always fixed, but at a Sofitel you expect these thingsto done correctly the first time. There were some very minors things in our room that needed to be fixed - light on the make up mirror, flat batteries in the scales in the bathroom, flat batteries in the TV remote. Again fairly minor, but in good hotels the housekeeping staff would check these things and have them fixed before you check in to the room.On checking out there were a couple if items the bill that were incorrect. Whilst the problem was fixed it really should not have been a problem in the first place if staff had settled the bill correctly.I have also stayed at the Sofitel Hotels in Sydney, Australia and Hanoi, Vietnam. The Sofitel at La Defense did not meet the grade of service I had experienced at these other Sofitels. In short, very good hotel, but not amazing.
