Mercure Hotel Munich City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Excelent"

7th September 2013, Ahmeleut, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Warm welcome, very comfortable and clean rooms, nice breakfast and restaurant. Good localization, near Bahnhof and Karlsplatz. Very friendly staff. The triple room was fantastic and the free consumption of the minibar was also a plus.

Mercure Hotel Munich City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Fantastic hotel only steps away from Muenchen Hbf..."

26th August 2013, Bambang S, Semarang, Indonesia

This time, I would like to share my experience in staying at Mercure Hotel Muenchen City Center in early August. It all started when we arrived in Muenchen Hbf. At first, we had to ask the hotel location with a hotel staff across from the train station. But once we found the hotel, we just realized how close the hotel was from Muenchen Hbf.Basically, once we are in Muenchen Hbf, find Burger King's outlet (located in the east wing/exit if we step out from the train). Once we were outside, crossed the road at the traffic light and walked in the west direction for another block where you made a right turn : You would see the mercure signboard outside the hotel, in the left hand side of the street, once you were standing in that corner.Check-in was prompt but our room was not ready : We were being asked to come back 45 minutes later which we did where we found our room was nice, clean and quite spacious compare to other Mercure hotels (in other cities/countries) we had stayed in this trip and so did the bathroom. We also got our room facing the inner side as some had suggested in tripadvisor and they were proven to be right as we did not hear any noise from our room at all despite the fact there were a number of hostels located in the same street. However, when we opened the fridge in our room, there was nothing inside until few hours later where a housekeeping staff knocked on our door and checked the fridge. From his face, I could tell he was surprised to find what had been missing from our fridge but he quickly filled up our fridge to make it up.Other than that, everything was perfect and to make our day, we could store our luggage and picked them up the next day after returning back from Austria. This was a little thing (service) that definitely impressed us and certainly, this excellent memories would keep us returning back to this property every time we visit Muenchen (Munich) in the future.

Mercure Hotel Munich City Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "It was okay"

8th August 2013, Ducky198033, Stuttgart, Germany

The hotel was fine nothing spectacular. We stayed during one of the hottest weekends this year. We picked this hotel because they offered air conditioning. The AC didn't work that great and we thought something was wrong with it. When we contacted the front desk we were asked if we were Americans and then told that we have different standards and the AC is fine. Probably won't stay here again because of that.

Mercure Hotel Munich City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Pleasent stay"

1st August 2013, Clemsoniasta, Gdansk, Poland

Good location. Close to shopping and nightlife (noisy neighbourhood ). The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast was also really good but dining room was a little cramped. Overall I am very happy with my stay there.

Mercure Hotel Munich City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Pleasant stay"

24th July 2013, NZEarlybird24, Auckland Region, New Zealand

I had a really comfortable stay at the Mercure. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, with all the facilities you would expect (safe, fridge, cupboards, tea and coffee making facilities), as well as a comfortable couch. The room was nicely decorated and was quiet. I had read comments from others about the area around the central train station (close by the hotel) being a bit dodgy at night, but that was not my experience. I was travelling alone (female) and felt safe and comfortable at all times. The hotel is in a really handy location, just a short walk to the entrance to the station. My only small complaint is that one night I had dinner in the hotel and it took them a long time to serve my meal even though I was the only person in the restaurant at the time. Otherwise, everything went smoothly. I had a late check out which was perfect as I was flying late in the evening.

Mercure Hotel Munich City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Close to everything!"

18th July 2013, Regis778899, Gothenburg, Sweden

Good location for holiday in Munic. Close to shopping, dining and nightlife. Easy access from the airport to Munic central station which is really just 2 min away. For a visit to old town and shopping and you don't want to walk, use the Tram. Nice wine bar at the hotel.
