"Worst Ibis I've ever been."

I am used to stay Accor hotels and Ibis. Some of them are very simple but delivery a decent service. Ibis Paris Gare du Nord La Fayette is out of the curve: it is just terrible in every aspects. To be fair, staying in this hotel only makes sense if you want to be near to Gare du Nord.
"Good hotel for bargain break in Paris"

Hotel is well located, walking distance to the centre about 20 minutes - but you have metro and easy to get to from airport or Eurostar. If you are looking for a bargain break to Paris then this is the Ibis for you. Rooms are compact but have everything you need. Lobby will be better when the work is done and breakfast is good value for the price.

When we read about this hotel, we had an idea that that hotel is worth money we were going to spend. Well, we were wrong. Even though it has a great location (2 minutes walk from Gare du Nord train station), the area arround hotel is rather unatractive and dirty. Also, hotel bar didn't work, as they were renoveting it, without giving any heads up about it on their web site. As for the room we stayed in, it is very small, with a large bed (which takes nearly half of the room), so it makes it hard for us to pass between bed and wall.

Never really write reviews, but I thought I will this time.I stayed at Ibis in a few countries, these are usually cheap but very reasonable.Not this one though. It's really small. And I mean really. You'd need to walk sideways to go pass the bed; but this isn't a huge problem. It smells really bad, and every time we left the window open it was closed by the cleaners, so when we got back it stank even more.Mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, and the smell of it was in the room too.Window really small and room was very dark and generally unpleasant. Hot over night, when you opened the window there was a bit of a noise coming from the outside... Sometimes a bit, sometimes enough to wake you up.Bed comfortable and sheets clean.One lift, old and slow (not a huge problem, but you know).Cleaners don't seem to care about you -- they would go into the lift with all the dirty sheets when you're in, or jump in the front of you and make you wait for the lift; very uncool and unprofessional.Location isn't bad, close to Gare du Nord, not a bad area.But for 100 GBP per night... really, find another place; this is not where you want to stay. Room was just depressing :(

A 2' de la gare du Nord & de L'est. Plenty of fine restaurants around the hotel. Check following restaurants: Derya & restaurant Julien (faubourg. saint Honoré). La Strasbourgoise (gare de l'est) is also fine. Il you only stay a night and want to eat Itaian => check out : http://www.lavillaandrea.com (109, boulevard de Magenta). At 1' of the hotel.

The hotel is well located but is not clean. The cleaning service is the worse I have ever experienced. The cleaning lady smoked inside our room... the towels were awful and the cover sheet gave us alergic reaction.

With Ibis you know what to expect. This hotel, so close to railway station, lets you "live" Paris within minutes from arriving. Very friendly staff, everything clean and OK.The free Wifi was an extra positive experience.

This hotel is just five minute walk from Gare du Nord train & tube station. Hotel is situated in central area. Opera House and La Fayette Galleries are just 15 minutes walk from the hotel. If you like walking and want to see little bit of Paris on foot then you can walk to the centre from the hotel. Cleanliness is good and sleep quality is acceptable. We didn't try hotel restaurant or breakfast so no idea how they are but there are lots of cafes around. Some of the reception staff speak only conversational English so you have to manage it.

we went there with my partner and it was very access to different tourist attraction in paris the breakfast is wonderfull the staff is very helpfull and they have free internet in every room the room is quit small but its ok for a couple of days stay even very near the street our room its still ok not so noisy i am very happy to stay in this hotel

this Hotel is at the walking distance close to both train station nord and est. Nicely located. Friendly staff but I was giving at the room which is at the front side (facing the main road) although I am at the top floor. I can still hear the noise on the street. It's a good choice if you just need a clean place to stay for a night.

The hotel is an average quality hotel located steps away from Gare du Nord. It is what you get for the money you pay but at a superb location. Nothing to complain of and the breakfast was adequate and included in the rate.

Conveneintly located near the station for Eurostar or Airport.. Staffs are nice and friendly. Rooms are good to stay. Prices are OK. I woould like to stay again at this hole. And I am happy to recoomend this holet.

If looking for a clean, basic hotel with reasonable transport connections in Paris, the Ibis Gare du Nord would be a pretty good choice. Our room was very clean, quite newly fitted out but on the small side. Free wifi was a big bonus. The breakfast is not too bad for €8 per person. The location is not too bad - close to Gare du Nord, and only around a 10 min walk to Gare de L'est
"Friendly Hotel Staff"

The hotel does not look extravagant in the facade but it is okay inside. It is clean, small but comfortable. Double room is not too big but just enough for two. The toilet in the room given to us overflowed. However they immediately transferred us to another room. I really like the service in this hotel. They are very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The hotel is also close to two metro stations, gare du nord to the right and poissonniere to the left. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel.
"Bad but not the worst I've ever seen"

The room was very loud, as it was on the top, very close to the elevator. I've asked the porter for a silent room but I didn't get it.I've found some nails in the bath, which was not mine.Otherwise the location is fine.
