We were travelling from Montreux, CH to St Omer,FR and wanted a stop, en route - Provins chosen having stayed before. Hotel is just off a main road but actually in the country, yet close enough to the town. Not much sign of English spoken, but we manage with French and had a good meal in the evening. Very quiet location.

Had a good nights at this hotel ; the girl at the reception and in the breakfast room ; so in the morning of course ; could be a bit more motivated. A simple smile could already do the trick... Otherwise no remarks.

When we arrived we were informed that our booking hadn't been received. Fortunately there was a room available but we had to argue to pay the price on our confirmation and had to persuade the young lady to find us a similar deal. I speak French and was able to stand my ground but she wanted to charge us considerably more and refused to look at the confirmation. She said we would have to ring you but it was 8pm and we had no number. Nor did she!This rather coloured our impression which is a pity because the breakfast was excellent and most of the staff very friendly. It is your inefficiency with the booking which was to blame and I would like an explanation please.
