"30 minutes from city center but no problem to enjoy Madrid"

I selected the hotel because of my family and budget.I made a reservation 1 month prior to save my budget!And Novotel is well prepared to accept a family with 4 persons.One double bed and one sofa transformed to a bed.Reception desk was so kind to advise to go my point where I have to go for guide tour.Bus is also very convenient even the hotel is located outside of the center.Breakfast was so nice. It was best during my 1 week Spain tour.

My stay was brief, but comfortable. It had all I needed for a business trip. One thing that stood out was the excellent service in the restaurant, having arrived late for breakfast. The enthusiasm and helpfulness of the waitress was the best I've seen, anywhere.

"Good hotel!"

Positives:Reasonably good hotel. Service and staff very good and extremely helpful. Nearness of the bus service a definite plus. Got to Madrid central very easily. Great value in free WiFi provided too. Negatives:Food is bland - definitely recommend you go out. Our room was bit dated and small. Internal wall in bedroom was damp.

Great hotel/facilities, reasonable distance to metro station. Not impressed with staff, most made me feel like I was bothering them every time I interacted with them. Internet access was quite good. Would probably stay there again

"Nice, reliable hotel"

This was fine for us, we travelled with a car and didn't want to drive into the middle of Madrid - the metro station was fairly close and we found it easy to get into the centre of town from this hotel. We typically ate in Madrid and came home after, so didn't eat in the local area. The pool was useful for the kids and the rooms were fine. As a family of 5 I have a bit of a gripe that there are no larger family rooms that would accommodate us all - we have to take one or two children each and separate - but it worked out well for us. It is very close to the main routes across Spain, so good for getting going again without too much difficulty (but then again, means you can't have the windows open because of the traffic noise).

"Superbly helpful reception staff made our stay really good."

Typical Novotel layout and facilities.OK for metro, bus and car access. Few standard items missing from rooms were provided quickly when requested. Delicious food in bar and restaurant but service slow even for Spain. Our 2nd stay and we'll be back.

The hotel has a bus stop right outside which brings you to Goya and Sol directly.Hotel rooms are big and price is low.The receiption was helpful and told all the places to visit. Internet is free and they have MAC at the lobby

"Mixed views about the hotel"

Charge for dogs (20€ per day per dog) was excessive: we paid 200€ for our two dogs, the most expensive Novotel we have experienced. A ttention, management: too few staff at early breakfast, when there were large groups present. But staff was very helfpul and friendly. We would not recommend the hotel to friends with dogs.

"Comfortable and great service"

Very good service - the bar was great and provided good food. Staff helped locate the right TV channel for the football - very helpful. Location is not the best, although it is quite close to a metro.

"Overnight stay in trip to Barcelona"

Nice spot to relax and sleep if you're on a trip through Spain and need not to go into downtown Madrid. Near the motorway it's easy accessible when traveling by car. Within 5 minte Taxi ride you can get to Soraia Plaza where you can have a nice meal and enjoy the night. Staff very polite and efficient. Everything ok. Good value for money. Breakfast simple but with good quality.

"Disappointing Service"

I was disappointed with the hotel reservation procedures. After having confirmed my reservation for late check-in using my credit card during the booking, I was told that the hotel was full and that they can only provide me with a handicap room and change into normal type of room for my 2nd night! I was not very fussy at that hour, however, the room itself was really bad with no ventilation probably for few days. Obviously, I could not stay the night there and had to go back to the reception asking my room which was confirmed at the time of the booking. They took 15 mins to provide me with another room for handicap people which was better ventilated!!! obviously, they are not following the booking procedures correctly.Again, I was told that the breakfast was already paid in the booking and was confirmed at check-in however, at check-out, they wanted me to pay for the breakfast!I think that the hotel itself was alright, but the booking system needs to be really improved. No customer focus !!!
