"Stop Over"
12th May 2012, KaznJames, Grantham Lincs
Good stop over point from south of France, very well located near to motorways, only a couple of hours from Calais. The 'Grill' restaraunt on site was very good. Only let down was we booked this because it specified 'secure car park' when we parked I asked at reception to confirm and the receptionist said the main gates were controlled by the other hotel on the site and the main gates were left open.
"Handy budget hotel just outside Reims"
17th April 2012, steve_lawless, Kendal, United Kingdom
THis was a standard budget hotel, handy for the Peage on our way to the Alps. My only complaint was that both of the rooms were smokey, although I can't recall if it was possible to book non-smoking rooms
"On the way home"
22nd March 2012, Guildford, Surrey
We used this hotel as an overnight stop on the way back from Megeve to Calais because it is on the motorway, has a restaurant, is clean and welcoming, and offers excellent service (we used the Ibis hotel in Choisy on the way out). After dinner in the restaurant my wife unintentionally left the special seat cushion she uses for her back on the seat. When we realised next morning and went down to the restaurant fearing it had disappeared we found that the staff had put it to one side for us! Full marks for customer care!

This hotel is conveniently situated for the Autoroute and is just under 300km from Calais, hence making this a convenient stopping point for those travelling from Calais to destinations deeper into France or Switzerland. The hotel is also close to an out of town retail and business park. About 1 km away across the Autoroute are more retail outlets and a number of eating establishments including a brew-pub which I must visit next time. There is also the abandoned Grand Prix motor racing circuit, the pits of which have been recently restored. The hotel is up to the usual Ibis standard of cleanliness and comfort. Each room has air conditioning and the windows offer good soundproofing. One small grumble was that the room we were initially given, stank of cigarette smoke, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. We are non smokers so found this objectionable. When we reported this we were allocated another room immediately, so we have no complaints. I realise that the hotel have little control over guest's actions inside their rooms but I would have thought that the objectionable smell could have been detected by the cleaning staff and the room left with the windows open. Using air fresheners to mask the smell only compounds the unpleasantness. The attached Courtpaille restaurant is very good indeed. A year or so ago, its standard had fallen but I am pleased to say that it has been turned round. The staff are extremely hard working and keep delays to customers to a minimum. Furthermore they were forgiving of my poor ability at the French language. The choice of items on the menu is extensive.

Great place to stop on the journey back to Calais from French Alps. Supermarket, Petrol, Restaurants all within a minute or two by car. Also the city of Reims if you want it. This has been our staging point for many years now. This Ibis also has a very good restaurant on site, good food, well cooked, meal deals and good, friendly service.
"2 very tired travellers"
31st January 2012, Montaren-et-Saint-Mediers, France
Thought the hotel very tired, no lift, had to carry cases upstairs, the room was small, no complimentary tea/coffee, only saving grace was the bed was clean and comfortable. proximity of restaurant was good.
"Convenient stopover en route to The Alps"
16th January 2012, JossM, Petersfield
Easy to find, clean & comfortable if all you need is food & a bed for the night with no frills. Close to A26, so no need to drive into Reims town centre. We chose this over the nearby hotels, of which there are several, simply as it had a restaurant for an evening meal. Reception were very friendly & helpful, even for late check-in. Rooms were clean & recently refurbished. Great shower! Dinner & breakfast, also quite acceptable.
"Good value stopover"
4th October 2011
Very convenient stop over on way south. 2 1/2 hours from Calais and easily driveable to Switzerland, Provence etc. Reliable standards. Good value with friendly helpful staff and simple food. Also Carrefours across road for cheap petrol, wine and food.
"Convenient and good value overnight stop"
30th September 2011, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
We were returning to the UK by road from the Alps and decided to try the IBIS at Tinqueux. My satnav didn't recognise the hotel's address but finding the hotel from the Autoroute (exit 22 for Soissons & Tinqueux) was easy as the hotel signage was visible from the exit road. Perhaps I should update my satnav maps ! The hotel has a free carpark (we parked under our room window) and is conveniently sited near a Carrefour hypermarket, useful for a competitive fill-up with fuel for the rest of our journey. The room was quite spacious and well equipped. The bed has a deep sponge-type mattress, not as comfortable as a fully sprung type. Only one spare pillow provided. Internet access (free) in the room worked well. Breakfast (included in the room rate) was typical continental fare. We would prefer some soft cheese (only hard cheese was provided) and a hard-boiled egg option would be good. Excellent croissants though !Dinner was fine, with decent service but moderate wine (albeit one of the cheaper options). Coffee (from a machine) was moderate but far from the worst we have had in 'value' French hotels.
"Overnight stay"

Stayed here for a night while travelling to Burgundy. Good location, although a bit difficult to find. very helpful staff and good value hotel. No other restaurants within walking distance but plenty within easy reach.
"Tinqueux"
27th August 2011, khwannock, Eastbourne
A good overnight stop 2 hours south of Calais, this was ideally placed for us, and easy to find. Also located on the same site as the Novotel, so good choice of meals, and Carrefour across the road, so plenty of choices, even shopping if required. Room was adequate, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK. Would use again for an overnight stop.
"Apart from hair on the bathroom floor, very functional"
5th August 2011, Cambridge
Very convenient for an overnight stop-over, close to motorway, quiet but not pretty location (in the middle of a commercial zone). Restaurants nearby, but not triedDid the job, for not much money. A kettle in the room would have just made it even better.
"Meals"
5th July 2011, huddersfield
The evening meal was: efficiently served by friendly staff, was tasty and good value. The breakfast however was chaotic: we unfortunately followed a coach party and the staff were unable to cope. They were overwhelmed by the continuous flow of people needing fresh crockery and cutlery, while they were still trying to remove the coach party debris. Fortunately we had used this hotel before and managed to find what we needed or make do.
"Ibis Reims Tinqueux"
4th July 2011, Leicester England
Excellent location, with polite professional helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable and the bar served a reasonable selection of drinks. Only minor criticism was the limited choice of foods in the restaurant for vegetarians, something simple like omelette would have been very welcome. Overall very pleased with our stay.
"Satisfied customer!"
14th June 2011, Poole. (UK)
Have used this hotel ( Ibis Reims-Tinqueux ) as an overnight stop to and from our holiday destination, for the last 3 years and have always been totally satisfied with the service and accommodation. Easy access from the autoroute, ample parking and friendly staff, would reccommend.
