« Unexpectedly good »

I was expecting this to be a bog standard chain hotel, and in a way it was (which was a good thing as it was clean and functional and comfortable). What was surprising was the fabulous view and pool area. Also a great location - 10 min walk into town. Only disappointing aspect was slightly rude and unhelpful staff.

« Hotel is satisfactory, but Accor website fails to disclose important information »

Since my previous visit, this hotel has started charging €15 per day for parking. Previously this was free. There was no obvious mention of this on the Accor website. If it was mentioned it was not clearly obvious. On arrival, I was told that breakfast was being served only in the guest's room, and not in the restaurant. My immediate question was whether the restaurant was still opening for dinner. The receptionist answered "yes", but in fact I found that the restaurant had been severely scaled down for the low season. In fact, it was not a restaurant at all. They were simply serving bar snacks. There was a reasonable selection of cold food, but not much choice of hot dishes, because they were serving pre-packed frozen meals, and micro-waving them to order. This does actually result in a perfectly good meal, and you probably wouldn't notice the difference, but it means that it is impossible to change a vegetable that the customer detests. For example, some of the meals come with rice, pasta or green beans, all of which make me want to throw up. Since the meal is pre-packed and the hotel kitchen is closed, they cannot substitute baked potato, boiled potato or another vegetable, for any of the detested items. As a result, I had all my dinners elsewhere during my stay. I believe that Accor ought to display car parking charges prominently on their websites, because it might affect the customer's choice of hotel. There ought also to be a warning if any of the usually expected facilities are not available. There are plenty of restaurants in Cannes, but it is a bit of a walk into the centre from Montfleurry.

« Nice hotel »

Staying at this hotel was relaxing and quiet. The rooms I admit could have used a bit more updating but were comfortable and didn't look bad. Breakfast was good. The pool was lovely and everything looked very nice outside. I would stay again but I think the group owners of this hotel need to invest some money in bringing the hotel up to a better standard by doing some maintenance as we noticed the hotel had a leak and a few other problems over our stay and perhaps some updating in general to improve some of the appearance of the hotel and facilities

« Big disappointment »

Very old hotel and staff very unhelpful or you don't dare to ask them anything they don't want to work or do anything. Very bad attitude all staff. Rooms not comfortable beds very old and the whole hotel is an old fashioned with a very bad staff

« Excellent service from resto staff »

The rooms are clean and spacious but could use a bit of updating. Comfortable bed with extra pillows. Beautiful balcony view of the pool area and the city. Notably, the staff at the hotel restaurant were very warm and attentive and provided us with 5-star service when we dined for supper after a long day to travel. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Pet friendly hotel!

The Hotel was double charge from my card.I try get back my money about two months.They used my money but no any apoligies. Contact with hotels officials very difficult . I never book from accorhotels anymore.

« Short Trip »

Good location for visiting Cannes. Free underground car park a clear bonus! Hotel is trying to cater for business & holiday which is always a difficult split, but does get it mostly right. Nice pool area, even though you need to pay 9.- per sunbed/day. Rich breakfast buffet. They seem to be updating the property / soft refurbishing, which is always a good thing. My only real negative point is the very slow free internet in the Room, if you need it for work not usable. Other Accor properties offer a much better serive here (even IBIS) - this needs to be improved. All in all a nice and convenient stay!

The hotel is located in a very quiet residential area with short access to the corniche but it is about 30 min. walk from the "real" center. The staff is very serviceminded and helpful. I would definetely return to this hotel.

« Room for Improvement »

We visited Novotel Cannes Montfleury for one night. The location of the hotel is potentially good but currently has considerable building work going on alongside with the creation of a civic community park and swimming pool. We were unaware of this from any information on the hotel's web site. On arrival we thought about going for a swim in the hotel pool but quickly changed our minds on seeing and hearing a JCB working alongside the pool boundary fence - not good! On entering our standard room it smelt stale and very unappealing. We had to open the patio door to try to ventilate it for quite a while. Not good! Overall this 4 star hotel did not come up to the mark in key areas although the breakfast buffet choice was very good. On the positive side the hotel is only 10 minutes walk to the Cannes Croisette and well located in that respect. At the time of our stay the hotel was hosting a convention. The hotel main reception areas were well presented and smart but the bedroom we were allocated appeared tired and in need of some renovation. Much room for improvement from our perspective.

Concerning location, Novotel Cannes Montfleury is the only hotel proposing a free parking in Cannes and we are at only 10 minutes by walk from the beach. Moreover, we have a free shuttle that brings our guest to La Croisette in less than 6 minutes. For information, the construction project of the “Parc Montfleury” next to the hotel will be completed by the end of the year 2013. It consists of 7 tennis courts, a swimming pool with retractable roof surrounded by grass and 6000 m2 of exotic plants. I’m very sorry to hear that this matter affected your stay negatively. Please rest assured that the comfort and the satisfaction of our guests are our first preoccupation. I also took good note about your comments regarding the room, which will be addressed accordingly and will be incorporated into the next investment program for the renovation of the hotel. « Abslutely recommended »

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel which is located conveniently 10 to 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Very good breakfast, nice garden with swimming pool and free use of towels if you want to go to the beach. Free parking which was offered by the hotel is a bargain in Cannes. WiFi is free, however we had problems with the service as it was impossible to use Skype and FaceTime and in addition we had repeatedly to resign in with login name and password after some minutes of inactivity. There were some construction works going on at the neighbour site, however this did not affect us during our stay.
