Excellent location conveniently located near the city center and West Bahnhof. This was my second stay here and I would stay here again whenever I visit my favorite city Wien.

The best thing about this hotel is close location to the Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstrasse. Whole hotel is quite old, and the rooms are not so modern anymore. If You have a choice ask for a room on higher floors as You can expect a really nice view over the neibourhood. Rooms facing the Guertel are quite noisy, as the street keeps busy during the night. To sum up Ibis is good value for money, but don't exect modern interiors.

Stayed at the IBIS at the beginning of May 2012. This was the second visit. Excellent location (5 minute walk to main - West - station); excellent value for money overall. Rooms are very good - although assume due for refurbishment in a couple of years - nothing major, slight cosmetic damage/wear but still very comfortable. Air con was being updated in rooms during the stay. Very clean. Excellent little on-site bar/cafe, again very good value for money. Reception staff very helpful and well informed about the hotel and surrounding area. Restaurant good selection and service. Good breakfast range, good, quality options - albeit a little expensive (11 euros) compared what is available in surrounding cafes. Two small irks: no coffee and tea facilities in-room (not unusual for European hotel) and no iron and board in room. The latter is available from reception on request (20 Euro deposit required). Again, not an issue - but a little annoying if need a coffee or iron a shirt first thing in the morning!!

Location excellent, rooms clean, modern, spacious. There is garage enough for mid-sized cars, for convinient price. No objections.

Location is very good. It's walking distance to Mariahilf Strasse which is one of the big shopping street in Vienna. Public transportation is easy to access ( tram, metro...)Highly recommended. Rooms are good, silent and clean. It's classic Ibis :) I will keep staying.

I liked this hotel for his excellent location- just 5 minutes from the main train station. It was easy to find it.It would have been useful a fridge in the room. Many Ibis have them, so I missed in this hotel.

"Everything ... but the shower!"

The hotel was OK, overall: clean, nice service people, excellent breakfast. BUT the shower... water went by itself from scalding hot to icy cold, it was almost impossible to stay there for more than a minute. And try to wash your hair! They seriously need to fix it!

"Got back here for the second time"

Because i knew what to expect. All good! Will be back again for sure. Very good positioning, good prices, very helpful staff, parking, very clean, recently renovated, they have smoking rooms which was a huge plus for me.

"Hotel Ibis Wien Marialhilf"

The Ibis hotel is very reasonably priced for the location. Rooms were clean except the carpet looked and felt already very worn. However the bathroom was clean although small and shower only. The Ibis also has a nice restaurant and breakfast area with a breakfast buffet which offers enough culinary choices to start the day. I would say this hotel is clearly above hostel standard and priced at the low end of a hotel. If you are looking for a no nonsense hotel in the heart of Vienna with a properly working free WiFi this is your deal.

"Another visit to the Ibis"

I tend to stay at the Ibis Mariahilf when I stay in Wien. It is convenient for public transport, particularly between the main railways stations. In addition, the deal that I took advantage of made my choice for me.The front entrance to the hotel has a number of steps, which can make things awkward with heavy luggage. However, the rear entrance has level access.Checking in was efficient and friendly and i was very quickly in my room.The room was typical Ibis standard and perfectly acceptable.The breakfast was very good and it was relatively easy to get a convenient seat.The restaurant was closed on Christmas Day, which meant that my Christmas supper was a ham and cheese toastie and an apple strudel. I was overcharged for this as the cost of the two individual items combined is less than the special offer price that i was charged.The only other problem that i had was with the Gutschein voucher that i was given when I checked in. It was not explained that this voucher had to be presented when you checked out of the hotel and could not be used as part payment at the time of eating your meal. An explanation of this would have avoided the ensuing argument.
