The hotel is in a perfect location and we were in a junior suite, wich is perfect, very confortable and well designed. The staff is very kind and helpfull. It's close to Notre Dame, Pont Neuff and other interesting places. The only thing is that, such any good hotel in Paris, it is a bit expensive.
"Mold, Mildew, Construction, No AC, Dirty and Smelly"
19th September 2013, David M, San Francisco, California
I have stayed at many Accor properties, this was by far the worst. The hotel smelled like an old taxicab complete with body odor, cigarettes and spoiled milk.Mold in our bathroom, shower and water closet.AC was out of service for our entire five day stay Massive construction outside - five large cranes pounding and hammering 24 hours a day. I am not exaggerating the slightest bit. Please see pictures - I wish you could smell the pictures. Our shower leaked so much it overflowed on the carpet. Our bed sheets smelled like smoke and looked like they smelled. We requested additional towels and they never were delivered. The hallways smelled truly bad not just once but for our entire prepaid stay...The best part of the hotel is a nice buffet breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of September. I checked Tripadvisor beforehand and was a bit worried about the construction goind on surrounding the hotel and services provided. But we finally decided to stay due to its central location and ability to accommodate 3 people in one room at a reasonable price.Lots of comments on the website are quite accurate. For example, the check in and check out took a long time, there were long queues at both check in and check out. Some people who have no manners just simply jumped queues. The hotel managers just shrugged their shoulder and didn't care. Only two staff trying to serve about 20 people, other 3 front desk staff just walked around. It didn't go down well with the guests.Breakfast room was too small for the amount of people they tried to serve. If you arrive at 9:00am the rush hour, it was a chaoes.. My parents went at 8:00am which was much calmer and civilised. So avoid rush hours. Having said that the staff at the breakfast room were trying their best to accommodate everyone, food were replenished as fast as they could manage. So it was entirely not their fault. We booked superior rooms at higher floor. All our rooms were facing the courtyard and very quiet. Rooms are ok size, but carpets were stained needed replacing. Pull out sofa bed was really practical for families. The hotel is in a great location, convenient for metro and walking everywhere. The construction outside didn't bother us but did make it more difficult to locate the hotel. Plenty restaurants and bars around, very lively. Slightly concerned when walking back from Pompidu centre to the hotel at night as it seems that the area is a magnet for youth in mass. There were homeless people sleep rough in the area. But I guess it happens everywhere nowdays even in the poshest location. All in all, considering in central Paris we paid £280 per night for one room, I don't expect too much, it is adequate to serve as our base for exploring Paris. If you want a central location with reasonable facilities but not paying a premier, you should consider Novotel Les Hall as one of your choices.
"Fantastic location and great room"
10th September 2013, michellemac6, Adelaide, Australia
We stayed for 5 nights - we arrived late & the taxi got lost on way from airport. However staff were efficient and friendly and spoke English. We had prepaid and were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was fantastic. The only down side was the room looked over the construction site at Les Halles. But they did not start until about 7am and as we needed to be up and about this was not too noisy.View management response »

"Can find better deal"
3rd September 2013, Jeddahboy
I have stayed at this hotel cause it is in the city center but I found that the area around the hotel has a mass construction which is limited the access to the hotel. The hotel it self is not bad but you can find a better deal in different area. The hotel needs to improve alot specially the rooms and beds.View management response »

I simply would like to say the staff at the Novotel Paris, Les Halles were fantastic - friendly, efficient and good humoured. Everyone from the desk staff, to those in the restaurant, to the baggage handlers, were helpful and attentive.View management response »

Level of family friendly service at Novotel in France is generally very good and this hotel was no exception - indoor play area for the kids, gifts on arrival and at breakfast and even an entertainer at breakfast time. Overall customer service is superb. Hotel is very well located close to the river and easy walking distance for Notre Dame and the Louvre. The building work in the park next door is a bit of an irritation but did not cause any noise and it will be an even better location once completed.View management response »

We arrived to hotel very late after 11pm with many luggages and carrying kids who are asleep. At the entrance, it was locked for security reason. We alerted the receptionist waving to them and pressing the door bell. We waited for 5 mins. The receptioniosts continue to chat with their colleagues, door were not opened. Finally, somebody walk out from inside the hotel, the door was opened. Definitely the door was not opened by the hotel staff. I was obviously very angry and asked the receptionist why she didn't open the door. She answered to me twice, "it was my colleague who is responsible to open the door, not me"...., I was furious as I don't think it was appropriate to answer this way. She didn't even apologise. It was after i asked her to apologise that she did so.On the check-out day, a lady next to me was jumped queue by 2 other tourists and there is no reaction from the receptionist. The lobby manager answered the lady that it is her duty to tell the other tourist that they should not jump queue, it was not the responsibility of the hotel to manage the queing system. He said everywhere in the world has the same system! I immediately told him off, I told him I had stayed in many Novotel hotels in other parts of the world, and they are far better than Novotel Paris. So, i strongly disagreed on his statement "everywhere in the world is the same!!". So, good luck if you want to stay in this hotel, as I think the staff is too narrow minded to serve customers who are expecting service higher level than a French standard!!For me, I am really offended by their service and will not return to this hotel!View management response »

"Winner location downtown in Paris"
14th August 2013, 40Aussietraveller, Perth, Australia
Easy and convenient to reach by train from Charles DeGaulle A/P. Good service and keen to assist with our problem of delayed baggage for international traveller. In-house dining and buffet breakfast well up to expectations, and fair range of reasonably-priced restaurants very close at hand.
"Well priced family hotel in Paris"
10th August 2013, ButDad, Lisbon, Portugal
Room was a good size and the children indicated the sofa beds were comfortable. Excellent location. We were able to walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay.Breakfast was busy and we waited for a table but the food quality and selection were good.

The Novotel Paris les Halles is a very good hotel in an excellent location. The train station which is direct to Charles de Gaulle Airport is very close and is only a short walk from the hotel. The Louvre is nearby and also many cafe's shops. The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The food and service was very good. The room was spacious bright and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely, big and bright with a bath and separate shower. The toilet was in an individual room . The only comment I can make is that it would have been preferable to have a small sink to wash your hands in the small toilet. On the whole I would highly recommend this hotel to stay and would definitely go back.View management response »
