Novotel Paris Les Halles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Les Halles"

20th May 2012, 24Jim, Glasgow, United Kingdom

The hotel staff could not have given us better service. They were courteous and very helpful in all matters particularly the Concierge. The hotel is perfectly located for the Metro and is within walking distance of many of the Parisian landmarks. We enjoyed our stay and the only downside was the lack of storage space in the room and the uncomfortable pillows. Otherwise the hotel could not be faulted.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Terrific location, very child-friendly, but some (minor) flaws"

7th May 2012, Minnilux, Brussels, Belgium

On the positive side, the location of the hotel is unbeatable in terms of the easy access (on foot) to some of Paris's major tourist attractions. It is a decided advantage for families with young children (and a stroller) not to have to use the metro and be able to walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame, and even the Champs Elysées. The staff is also very child-friendly (we received a special kid welcome pack upon check-in and there was a clown at breakfast, making balloon animals for the children). Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good value for money and provided a good selection of food. However, the rooms themselves were on the small side (executive room booked for 3) and the air-conditioning wasn't working properly (not a huge deal, because it wasn't hot during our stay, but still annoying). There is also some major renovation work going on at the Les Halles mall/ metro stop, which was rather unsightly and a bit creepy at night.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great hotel central to all places of interest"

22nd April 2012, Melbourne, Australia

This hotel is located in a very central position adjacent to the Fountain of the Innocents, 10 mins to the Louvre and 10 mins to Notre Dam. The rooms are comfortable and it has a good bar/lounge for unwoinding after a day touring. The staff are all very friendly and extremely helpfull. All speak good English. There are a lot of works going on at the rear of the hotel and it pays to request a courtyard room if you want to sleep in.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice Hotel, great location, shame about the car park"

20th April 2012, MDRathbone, Runcorn, United Kingdom

Great hotel with nice clean bedrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice to suit everyone. Some nice extras too such as cuddly toys for the kids and a magician at breakfast in the restaurant! Only criticism is that the underground car park is out of action LONG TERM for refurbishment. This was one of our main reasons for chosing this hotel in this location and we were given no advance warning. Thought it should at least have been mentioned on the 'welcome' e-mails. Alternative car park was advised but it is a bit of a trek especially with luggage and children! Didn't put us off though and hope to return once the car park is finished!

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Location, Location and top quality branded hotel. very much recommended."

11th April 2012, Samuel_IL, Israel

Great Stay. Excellent location, Excellent breakfast (paid). Top quality branded hotel. We stayed at this hotel some years back and, again, enjoyed the stay.Only thing missing is free WiFi. It is about time that European hotels provide this basic service for free.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Paris in the Spring"

5th April 2012

The hotel was very accomodating and the staff was very friendly and helpful from the time we checked in until we left. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and a reasonable price. The location of the hotel was perfect...center of the city. Close to the metro station and many restaurants, shopping and attractions within walking distance.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Les Halles"

1st April 2012, Princeton, New Jersey, USA

The location is in walking distance of the Louvre, Notre Dame, and both sides of the river, which was perfect for us. I stayed at this location 12 or so years ago and liked it then, which is why I returned. The area is busy, so if you want quiet at night, ask for a room that doesn't overlook the Beirut Cafe!If you can't survive on the typical French breakfast of coffee, croissant and juice, then eating at the hotel's breakfast buffet might suit you. I personally found it very expensive and the American style eggs, bacon, etc. were cold and we ate very early one morning. There is an AWESOME Boulangerie on the Rue de Halles, right near the Novotel, with the best treats. That's where we had breakfast. On the Rue de St. Denis is a lovely cafe called Le Petit Chatelet. We dined on fabulous lunches there. The Novotel staff made us feel as though we were at home for the week. They knew us by sight. Greeted us. And, they were always available for questions and guidance.Shopping in the area is plentiful. It is a breeze to get from Charles DeGaulle airport and back on the RER/Metro.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Very pleasant hotel"

20th February 2012, Salisbury, United Kingdom

This is a good location - very central for Paris sites, and being off the main roads by Les Halles shopping area, is also relatively quiet for a city centre hotel. Not the cheapest, but food in restranut very good, service very friendly and pleasant. I would reccomend this hotel for a short break in Paris.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very pleased"

16th February 2012, Keerbergen, Belgium

Very nice hotel, great service, room was roomy enough for us with two kids 5 and 8. Wel placed to visit Paris. Parking under the hotel, unfortunately not completely included in the room price. Recommended.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Unmatched service"

9th January 2012, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

I don't have a bad thing to say. My stay at the Novotel Les Halles was the highlight of being in Paris (which is tough to beat). The hotel is in an ideal location for sightseeing and the service within the hotel was top-notch. I will most definitely continue to stay at Novotel hotels in all future travels.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good location, good size of hotel room"

20th October 2011, Melbourne, Australia

Good location, good size of hotel room, very helpful staff, but problem was the bathroom tub was leaking, water run through wall to the carpet of bedroom. Good for family with young children, they provide separate sofa bed for each child.

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 1.0 out of 5 stars "catastrophic services"

8th October 2011, Paris, France

although I had A favourite card I waited 15mns for check-in as nobody came to special priority check-in. first room I was given was not done and people had just left!after lunch I noticed that a client of the hotel had attacked his girlfriend outside and she was shaken. It took several minutes for security to intervene and nobody at reception wanted to call the policein the morning of the 1st night, despite the do not disturb sign, I found tthe maid in my bedroom when I came back from my meeting. As I expected nobody to come in had left my computer on! I complained to the reception immediately and they said that the manager would call me. I waited 3 hours and he did not.Service was really a shamble and definetely the worst Novotel I stayed in my lifeJ Villa

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Anniversary in Paris"

30th September 2011, Kidwelly, United Kingdom

Spent two nights at this Excellent Hotel. Location, cleanliness facilities and room size all fantastic value. All staff were polite and helpful. As it was our wedding anniversary had arranged for flowers to be delivered to the room, this was no problem and we also received complimentary champagne and chocolates. Notre Dam and Louvre all within walking distance, metro station directly outside hotel. We will definitely return.Mark and Lorna

Novotel Paris Les Halles: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Paris Les Halles - mostly good but could do better"

8th September 2011, London, United Kingdom

The breakfast service really let this hotel down. There was nothing wrong with the food - it was good quality and great variety. The only problem with the food was they kept running out of things and nobody noticed except the customers. At one point I noticed that there were no plates for hot breakfast, the milk had run out on the coffee machine, there were no baguettes and the yoghurt bowls were empty.Queues were the other failing. At one point I counted 10 empty prepared tables whilst there was a queue of people waiting to be seated. I travel widely and visit many hotels and I have never seen this poor level of efficiency in a hotel of this grading.
