"Boys Weekend Away"
15th May 2012, CAW_1_12, Bishopswood, United Kingdom
For a budget hotel if offers clean and comfortable rooms and surroundings, the staff are always cheerful and very helpful. As the hotel is in the centre of town you are a short walk from restaurants and bars.We as a group have stayed at this hotel for many many years.
"A weekend of eating and drinking"
14th March 2012, JANORCROSS
Superb location. The only downside was the size of the room. Ideal for single occupancy but very cramped for a twin beds.No need to park at the hotel and pay - free parking near by.Very pleasant receptionist on checking in. Did not try the breakfast. Went to a local coffee shop.
"Another overnight trip"
14th March 2012, Lincoln, United Kingdom
We regularly usethis Ibis Hotel with a view to one or two nights stay for shopping and eating out. It is perfectly located in the middle of St Omer with the Saturday market and numerours restaurants in easy walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English if your French lets you down. The rooms are typical Ibis rooms; small but adequate. The only slight critisism would be that the bath/shower arrangement needs updating. We will definately use this hotel again.
"Shame about the staff"
7th March 2012
We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and, it has to said that the decor and rooms have improved over the years. The location is ideal for the town centre with many bars, restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk. The Saturday morning market is also only a short distance away. On the down side, most of the rooms are quite small and fairly basic. What has let this hotel down on most occasions we have stayed there is the poor reception staff who seem to lack any welcoming personality. There is a distinctive shortage of staff in the evenings, it seems there is usually only 1 person to look after reception, the bar and the restuarant. The bar prices are unacceptably high, a beer is about 40% higher than the bar just round the corner and this is a great shame, as the bar area is a very comfortable facility. We do not eat at the hotel as the menus at nearby retuarants were far superior and at a cheaper price. We like St Omer and this hotel is the most convenient but it is far from the best in the Ibis brand and maybe Accor hotels should look at their customer relations at this facility.
"Good Clean Hotel"
21st February 2012, Nottingham, United Kingdom
Great location in the centre of town. Get there early if you want to use the secure parking especially on Friday night as there is a town market, well worth a visit, on Saturday. Good selection of restaurants in the town and some interesting areas near by. Better place to stop than Calais.
"A good hotel"
20th February 2012, Port Talbot, United Kingdom
Staff very welcoming and helpful. Restaurant excellent with a good varied menu. Room however was very hot and although had opening windows, very little air flow and traffic noise in the morning. No tea/coffee making facilities but staff willing to fill flask with hot water.
"Good location, bit pricey"
19th September 2011, Bradford on Avon
This hotel is in a great location within the town which is probably why it was so pricey as we thought the rooms were rather small and were disappointed there were no tea and coffee making facilities. Also thought the bathroom could have been cleaner - really rooms no better than a Travelodge but much more expensive. However the breakfast was great value and quite unusual.
"Ibis St Omer"
8th September 2011, johnwright42, Wellingborough, United Kingdom
As with the majority of the Ibis hotels you always know what to expect and what you will get. The location is good for the town centre and the wide variety of restaurants. It is well situated for the channel ports at the start or end of a Continental trip.
"St Omer"
8th August 2011, london
A rather run down hotel - loads of woodchip wallpaer and bath-towels like sandpaper. No bathmat in a very slippery bath. The bed was most uncomfortable. The staff however were friendly and the location was terrific.
