ibis Cambrai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "IBIS April 2012"

4th May 2012, jilly354, London, United Kingdom

Overall the stay at this hotel was good and very good value for money. For me personally the bed and pillows were'nt very comfortable and would have preferred some tea/coffee making facility in the room.

ibis Cambrai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A pleasant stop before the ferry"

6th October 2011, laurielee1midsummer, Malaga, Spain

This was much nicer than staying in Sangatte (as we had last summer), yet still within a comfortable 2hr drive of Calais. We left at noon but booked a 4pm ferry to be safe. Wish we hadn't; we could easily have made the 2pm and this was on the August Bank Holiday with everyone going the same way.Rooms are of the modern Ibis style (mock parquet, duvets) but the 2nd floor has no lift so a bit of a suitcase-lug. Location is a bit out of town but this is no problem if you have a car. Cambrai central has huge, free parking with pleasant eateries and returning late to Ibis presented no parking issues.

ibis Cambrai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good basic hotel in a convenient location"

6th October 2011, Peter1966_11, Cheltenham, United Kingdom

We are frequent visitors to this hotel, as we use it en route to either Germany or southern France on holiday. It lies conveniently just off the motorway junction, and a good supermarket and the town centre (Cambrai) are not far away. The staff are welcoming, and the restaurant is very good for this grade of hotel, offering a set-price menu for around 17 Euros. Some of the rooms are on the small side, but all are clean, and perfectably acceptable for a one- or two-night stay. It will definitely remain on our 'frequent stay' list.

ibis Cambrai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good location, clean and adcceptable."

30th September 2011, Gravesend, United Kingdom

Whilst we enjoyed our stay at this Hotel, with two lovely restaurants next door, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The towels were thin and no hand towels. However our friends said they slept well.

ibis Cambrai: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Cambrai August 2011"

12th August 2011, Stowmarket

A good quality, well appointed Ibis hotel. Service was good. Staff were forgiving of my very poor ability at speaking French. The evening menu had a small but very adequate number of items and were of good quality. The choice of beer was either Kronenbourg or Kronenbourg. This is only a minor criticism but I would have welcomed beer from a more local brewery

ibis Cambrai: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent Ibis hotel in Cambrai"

12th July 2011, Nottingham

A very clean and comfortable Ibis hotel. The hotel is in a convenient position for the motorways and has a good secure car park. The food was very good too. The staff made us very welcome and the receptionist spoke to us in English! We have stayed at quite a few Ibis hotels and this one is one of the better ones.

ibis Cambrai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Functional but uninspiring"

3rd July 2011, l0uh, london

We stayed at the Ibis at Cambrai for its proximity to the Autoroute, and as such it fulfilled its function. It was clean, the staff were very friendly. The room was small with dated decor, but clean and served its purpose. The bathroom had a shower only and was fine apart from the floor, which became an ice rink when the tiniest amount of water was on it. No warning signs that I noticed to this effect, and I fell quite badly on it, so beware! It has a handy restaurant which was open when all else around was shut when re arrived about 9pm. Not that there really was a huge range of other things around, as this is some way out of town. We felt it was quite expensive for what it was... think if I had my time again I'd have risked it with a private hotel rather than a bland chain, it was a bit depressing!

ibis Cambrai: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great Value"

29th June 2011, Northampton

We used this hotel as an overnight stop, very conveniently located for the motorway quiet and comfortable, staff were good , food was good, no complaints. excellent value for money at 70 euro`s. We would use this hotel again

ibis Cambrai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Overnight stay"

14th June 2011, Tunbridge wells

A useful stopover hotel right on the junction of the Autoroute with quick access to the a26 for travelling to South East France and Switzerland. Service good and helpful and rooms clean and of reasonable size. Restaurant hours were good and the buffet breakfast excellent

ibis Cambrai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "HOTEL IBIS CAMBRAI"

27th April 2011, Paderborn

The hotel is conveniently located just off of the motorway and was easy to find. The rooms were clean and quiet with an adequate bathroom. We did feel that it would have been better if the rooms had tea / coffee making facilities so that we did not have to purchase hot drinks from the bar as extra. For ease, we took an evening meal in the restaurant and were disappointed with the range and quality of the food for the price. Breakfast was included in the price of our room and was fine. The staff were able to help us identify foods that our son could eat as he has allergies, and were friendly throughout our stay.

ibis Cambrai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Cambrai"

11th April 2011, Heckington

Very well placed for access from the motorway although quite some distance from the town centre. We stayed as an overnight to break up the journey to the Rhone Alps and the hotel met all our needs - clean and comfortable room, pleasant restaurant with good food and very friendly, helpful staff. Given the nature of the Ibis chain (what I'd consider budget) no complaints at all.

ibis Cambrai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Closed restaurant"

18th January 2011, Ambleside

We were not pleased to find that the restaurant was closed for the night, due to a public holiday, especially after driving for 9 hours. There was no mention when booking that the restaurant would not be open, if we had known this we would have stayed else where.

ibis Cambrai: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A great pit stop on a long journey!"

7th January 2011, Woking

I have used this hotel many time driving to and from the Alps. It is ideally situated - only a very short detour from my route and extremely easy to find. I frequently use ibis hotels and the quality can be variable. Thisone has never disappointed.
