"ibis montmartre hotel"
3rd March 2013
Usually stay in a boutique type hotel, but having children with us this time, we needed something more family freindly.Good location for us as near 2 metro stations with easy links to all parts of Paris...we used a 5 day, 5 zone pass which we found really worthwhile as we visited exhibition centres in Versailles and Villepinte as well as Disneyland.Although we had not booked breakfast, we were able to have this on a daily basis and pay for it at point of service, all in all it was quite good value, especially with children in tow.Rooms are small but that is expected. Outside noise, especially in early hours of the morning was disruptive (delivery vehicles unloading bottles, etc.?), particularly if you are a light sleeper or have young children.Places to eat were readily available but not so plentiful for family eating (children's menus), however most places were happy to allow children to share full portions.Perfectly good hotel for family stay.
"Romantic weekend in Paris without costing the earth"
22nd February 2013, Northern_fairy, Yorkshire
If you're after a reasonably priced hotel that is very clean, in close proximatey to the Metro network (nearest is Place de Clichy), and situated in the Montmartre area yet well away from the seedy neon lights that are immediately east of the Moulin Rouge (ie the sex shop district of Pigalle) - you cannot go wrong with this hotel. Had a wonderful weekend in Paris and this hotel was a suitable base. Great value hotel (we paid about £55 per night for 3 nights - imagine what you'd get in London for that!). Very welcoming staff. We never ate breakfast there - purely as we wanted to get out n about early doors. Plenty of decent and characteristic (but quiet) bars and restaurants within 10 minutes walk.ALL tourist attractions are never more than 30 minutes away via the Metro. Eiffel Tower was about 20 mins, central Paris - 20 mins. Moulin Rouge - 10 minute walk. Sacre-Coeur is a fantastic 25 minute walk away (providing you don't go via Boulevard de Clichy which takes you through mucky Pigalle).
"February trip to Paris"
21st February 2013, 43-francophile2013, Cork, Ireland
This was our second stay as a family with a young child. We find the location perfect, located near Montmartre and the metro to go absolutely everywhere. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the breakfast is very good to set you up for a day visiting Paris. This hotel definetely ticks all the boxes for us given that we use our room as a base and spend limited time in the room and not all hotels offer triple rooms.
"Watching Enter Shikari at La cigale"
29th January 2013, Macca1234567, London, United Kingdom
I’m 47 and stayed with my 16 year old son (twin room).we travelled to Paris to see Enter Shikari play at La Cigale for his birthday. The hotel was booked due to its location, and we found it well located, with a short walk to the Metro. We arrived earlier than the check-in but the room was ready and we were able to access it straight away. The hotel was friendly and the front desk spoke good English. The hotel and room was clean and tidy, we booked there breakfast for us both which was good value @ 9 Euros with a good selection, and pretty much eat as much as you wanted.I am contemplating visiting Paris again this year and this hotel for my wedding anniversary as I want to see the show Moulin Rouge which is a short walk from this hotel. All in all a good experience.
"Great central location for Paris"
7th January 2013, Happytraveller1399, Melbourne, Australia
Great central location about 200m from nearest Metro. Monmartre is only 10 min walk with away many good quality restaurants and coffee shops. Also 10 minutes walk to to the Moulin Rouge night club area with many cheaper restaurant also only 10 min away There are lots of people about during the day and evening and it appears to be reasonably safe to walk about.
"Ibis Monmartre - 4 night break"
13th December 2012, AHenryS, Cardiff, United Kingdom
This hotel is ideally situated just off the Place de Clichy - within 200 metres of the Metro for quick & easy access to all the sights of Paris. There are also lots of places to eat & drink very close by. This is our second visit to this hotel, the first being six years ago. Our experience in the hotel itself was of good and friendly service from the staff. The room was clean & well maintained, as you would normally expect from Ibis. On the slight downside, whilst the room was quiet it was a little too warm for comfortable sleep without regularly throwing the quilt back even with the heating controls set to minimum. The breakfast was ok but there was very little selection, for example just one type of cooked meat - one type of cheese (same every day), etc., and of course croissant/bread/cereals etc. - but no warm options such as scrambled egg/bacon/sausage etc. which one used to get at Ibis (and still do in Ibis in London). Also, since our previous visit they have closed what was quite a nice restaurant - so all you can get now are bar snacks. All in all - good value for the centre of France but having stayed in Ibis Euston London on the way out (a favourite of ours when doing a show!) we cannot help but feel that Ibis in France seems to have gone slightly down market so next time will look at Novotel.
"Administrative issues with a 10 rooms reservations from Nov 30 to Dec 2"
6th December 2012, Moscow_RussiaOnIz, Moscow, Russia
I madet he reservation from abroad via internet 10 rooms all of them bokked under my name (Rossano RENZI, Mediasponsor Sàrl) and in order to ensure that no payment will be asked to the guests of individual rooms, I called the Hotel reception where one of the staff very professionally told me how to proceed with the authorization form enabling the payment of all rooms to be debited on my credit card. Moreover, I also informed the Hotel staff that I had sent to the hotel email address the list of the names of the guests associated with reservations codes of the rooms they would have been occupying, and this with the aim of making easier tha task of receptionist during the guest arrival chek-in.I still don t know what happened, but the check in happenned to be more than hectic as per following examples ;When arriving for check in, a number of guests were told their names were unknown and that there was not reservation at all for them (N.Passiris and wife, I.Renzi and husband) Some other guests were told that they had reseved 2 roms instead of one (Rohan Renzi and wife) Some other guest were asked at check out to pay the cost of their room while I had asked to debit my credit card for the cost of ALL the rooms booked under my name (S.Aslanyan and M.Vartanyan) finally it was corrected before their definitive departure...As at mz arrival I checked-in earlier that most of the guests, I spent from Paris downtown much time of the day on the phone with the hotel staff as to try settling the above metioned matters with the arring guests And finally when I checked-out and mentionned tha I wanted to paz for all the rooms it was also very complicated to reconcile the bill with my original reservationsAm not able to comment why this happened as all the Hotel staff members demonstrated to be very polite, patient and willing to do their best as to be helpful int trying settling the matter, neverthless their immense goodwill was not enough to ovecome obvious working inefficiency apparently due to a lack of well defined operational processesOverall our stay in the Hotel was good and would not mind to stay there next time in Paris, however would not a third time if same experience repeatsThanks for kind consideration and best regardsRossano RENZI

"Overnight Stay"
13th November 2012, sarzSydney_Australia, Sydney, Australia
took a 2 day trip to Paris with my sister from London and we had a fantastic time. Hotel good location, clean and very good service. Quite limited amenities and wifi was pretty limited but very adequate for a one night stay. Would recommend for short term stay
