This is a very excellent hotel, the staff was efficient and any problems were quickly addressed. The beds are superb, some rooms are on the small side. The subway is only one block away as are the city buses. We were offered umbrellas on rainy days.

Beautiful hotel very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good sized room,lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. We stayed in a club room which was a waste of time as all it meant was that you got some soft drinks, cheaper to buy them outside. I hadn't realised there wasn't a club lounge which was my mistake but really can't understand how you can call it a club room. Staff were lovely and the location was good with lots of very good restaurants around that weren't too expensive

My wife and I stayed at the Scribe hotel in Paris for 6 nights in August this year. This was a return visit to this Hotel as we stayed there in August last year. This is such a lovely hotel. The décor is very interesting with large photos of the walls of the brothers who started the moving picture industry, and with understated comfortable art deco type furniture. The rooms are large, well appointed with the most comfortable beds, and beautiful bathrooms. The staff are all so very helpful and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are serviced twice per day and all your needs are catered for. The location is excellent, the hotel is just down from the Paris Opera building, and is within easy walking distance of all the great Paris attractions, as well as the metro. The hotel has it's own first class restaurant and is surrounded by lots of great shops, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, for the second time, and would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants a great stay in Paris.

The internet service is an absolute DISASTER. While they indicate is free, it has such a low connectivity that it keeps on disconnecting and programs like outlook express cannot operate with it. With lots of difficulties, sometimes, I could download e-mails but I would not be able to send out. I tried paying for the service, same result. I spent well over 50 dollars in different attempts. The only thing that worked (of course paying for it) was the internet on the two desk computers on the business center. There I could access through the web page of my provider and read and reply mails (you could not do this with your laptop using the WiFi). It was extremely inconvenient and business-unfriendly. Probably a great hotel for tourism, but if you need to work, is a pain in the neck. I spoke the front desk and gave them my sincere constructive advice, but it seems it did not worry them too much. We were to people in my room and through out the hotel with two different laptops, a Mac Pro and a Sony Vaio, both brand new, so don't blame on my laptop. I came across a Japanese lady who was also desperate for the same reason, and she was so thankful that I offered her a solution by going to the desk computers in the Business Center, since nobody else seemed to be helping her.

We have different connections throughout the hotel:The WiFi is accessible on a complimentary basis; this is a low speed connection that allows our guests to read the news, check emails etc… We also have a paid WiFi option; this is a higher speed connection that allows downloading heavier data.Other than that, our guests can connect with the cable but also through the TV and keyboard both available in the room. Last but not least, as rightfully mentioned by you, we do have a business center where you can navigate on the web and print documents out;We are currently investigating the issue with our WiFi connection and hope to solve it as soon as possible. We have been informed by the technical team that most email providers are open through the WIFi connection; however, to be able to use Outlook (a protected server), it has to be set up manually so your device can connect to your Outlook Inbox through our WiFi.I am sorry you felt our staff did not seem attentive to your request, as this is not how we respond to our valuable guests.
