"Typical Ibis"

Out of town with very little option to eat anywhere but the hotel. Food quite pricey but good quality (after prompting the waiter for the veg). Had a nice walk to the nearby marina and a walk along the river bank. Standard Ibis room.

Good location, relatively easy to find and good facilities. Bit of a walk into town but well worth the walk. Great way to stretch the legs after quite a few hours on the Autoroutes. Most enjoyable meal in the busy restaurant.

Usual standard of "Ibis Hotel". People from reception friendly and efficients. Good location close to main road and commercial area. Restaurant: slow service. Normal food and prices. I will come again as the everage is not bad.
"Journey Stopover"

This is an adequate overnight stopover, close to the autoroute. The room was quiet, clean with plenty of hot water and good shower. The service was good and the diner was OK, but not exceptional, and the buffet breakfast was as of a good standard.
"Dreadful Ibis hotel in Valence"

Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful! We stayed at the Ibis hotel in Valance for 1 night only and that was 1 night too long! The hotel smelt awful when we entered into the reception area and it got even worse when we went to our room. The room had a single bed for a child and folded against a wall. The room smelt of stale urine - it made us feel sick. We decided not to go to reception to complain because we did not receive a very good welcome when we arrived. The receptionist was very abrupt and not at all friendly. The food in the restaurant was dreadful too. The pasta dish we decided to have had a sauce which we were sure came from a packet or jar. We had pre-paid over the internet for our room and when we came to leave in the morning the receptionist (a different one from when we checked in but just as miserable) tried to charge us again for the room. She was not at all polite when she asked how we had paid and when we told her we had paid over the internet she virtually threw the bill she had printed off at us. Needless to say, we will never stay there again and will not recommend it to anyone ever! This is one Ibis hotel Accor should visit and review. Another reason why we did not complain was because we had also had a bad experience with an Ibis hotel in Chartres last year. The room they gave us was very noisy with the air conditioning equipment directly outside our window and when we complained the Manager was very rude to us. However, they did find us another room after we said we would leave.
"OK for an overnight stay"

The hoel is nothing particular but OK if you are on the road and just want a quick stop on your way. Odd interior in bar/restaurant. The environment outside is sterile, typical french retail centre outside cities.
