"montpellier bargain"

A modern hotel located on Place Comedie. Convenient to trams and short walk to train station St Roch. Basic room, but very large. Quiet with double windows to block out noise. Good breakfast buffet.

Everything was perfectly fine. A bit on the expensive side, but then again, it's Montpellier. Location was especially good (railway station, shopping mall, tram, and old town all in walking distance). Looks a bit ugly from outside, but the rooms seem to have been renovated not too long ago.

This hotel used to be a Sofitel, so benefits from larger than average rooms, big bathrooms, and good facilities. It's clean, comfortable and well located. The breakfasts are typically Ibis. Plenty of fresh bread, rolls etc., hot drinks, fruits, cheese and hams.

Excellent place. Only one comment: only one person at the reception desk is not sufficient: too many tasks (reception, phone, bar,....)Other than that: very good. Fast complementary internet is an asset.

Well located hotel in City centre with easy access to Shops and to the Old Town, a must see, opposite Opera / Comedie Square, Restaurants & entertainment. 10 mins walk from the Station. Underground car park (Triangle) with discounted rates. Building a bit tired and needs modernisation in the next few years, Breakfast, Continental & cereals, E8 as against E3or E 5 or a Coffee & Roll, even in Flunch. Staff accommodating. Car Hire available at Station Yard, Town centre being dug up for new Tram Lines, access from Motorway was straight forward. Must do Pezenas Town Street fair on Friday evenings.. Lord Clyde pies and all. 40 min run to Med beaches.Enjoyable 5 day stay.

Extremely well located with back door leading onto shopping mall on and main town square. Parking available and at a discount just underneath hotel. Rooms larger than normal, friendly staff and excellent all round.

Montpellier is a charming and vibrant city. This Ibis hotel is located perfectly on the Place de la Comedie. The hotel is just what you can expect from an Ibis chain hotel, but there was a lot of maintenance work in progress. Didn't matter at night, but the atmosphere wasn`t quite right during the day.

Breakfast is the only thing that can be better by offering more different things, options like an egg or more choices, i think it is very limited, not wrong just limited.the rooms are very good athough i was missing a (english) sport channel.

This is unique hotel among other Ibis hotels: really big Rooms, Bath, very comfortable, good parking access from within a hotel, best location in Montpellier, good staff - so everything is Ok. I have leaved in Montpellier in: Other Ibises, New Hotel du Midi, some Citadines and good small hotels, and I can recommend this hotel over all of them. But there is no minibar, and breakfast is like other Ibis provides.

We stayed three nights in the Ibis Comedie hotel Montpellier and found the hotel clean and of good value. It is located next to a shopping mall and right in the city center.The hotel's restaurant serves breakfast only. Some light meals and snacks in the bar.

Excellent location in the city centre, between the Place de la Comedie and the Polygone shopping centre. Spacious, clean and modern with very comfortable beds. Free WiFi. The only negative point was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities (important for British guests!). You can get a nice petit dejeuner at the cafe Brioche Doree just outside the hotel for 2-3 euros.
