"Metz stay"

Service was good, breakfast was very good, location was great. However, a couple of issues. Staff was very helpful with maps, and directions1.no clock/radio was in room2. Upon checkin, in room safe was locked. Call to front desk resulted in that no key was available. Available tomorrow, never was unlocked during stay. Unable to secure valuables during stay3. Location given as. Place But car GPS does not recognize. Only street names. Difficult findin in this very small town with lots of one way streets and many roads blocked due to reconstruction

Although on business, the location was ideal for a tour of the city of Metz - and what an amazing city too. There was much to see, from the dramatic cathedral to hte oldest Christian church in France (circa 380 AD). The river Moselle is also nearby which adds to the attractiveness of the city.My only complaint of the hotel would be the service in the bar/restaurant which was very slow and typically French - polite but in no hurry!

This hotel is not an icon for Novotel Hotels, the building is old, you may want to choose other hotels in Metz. The services are good, Novotel recepie but the atmosphere no. This looks like an old Ibis hotel and doesn't worth the money.

Nice hotel in a central part of town. Close to the the Cathedral and other sights. The rooms are standard Novotel Rooms, clean and efficient. If back in Metz I would stay there again.The only drawbacks are that the lobby is not on the ground floor so you must take a small elevator up to the lobby and then another up to your room (Challenging when a bus full of tourists arrived at the same time we did) also the entrance is closed at night and you have to use an intercom to get inside, so it made me wonder if it was not so safe there at night.

Probably a very good location if you want to visit the city. Rooms are good and clean. My impression of the restaurant was that the choice was a bit limited.All in all fair, and definately worth going there.I did not have the occasion to test the fitness nor the outdoor swimming pool (which looked very nice).

Very nice hotel, well located in the center of Metz. Excellent breakfast with very nice home made cakes. Childeren where happey with the playstation.
