We requested a villa with a pool and/or beach view..... we didn't receive, but we were charged top dollar. Next time we'll book into a homestay in town and be in walking distance to everything. From Novotel it's the hotel car into town and you are charged. Also - airport pick up is an additional charge. I thought the resort was a bit expensive for what we got. Staff are wonderful and willing to go over the top to ensure a pleasant stay. Tour operator in reception was great at arranging day tours.

1) A magnificent natural site; hotel is alone in a large natural area which used to belong to son of ex-Indonesian President; beware construction risks or appetites in the future2)The most fancy restraurant was closed (strange) monday-tuesday ; the normal restaurant where breakfast is also served is very expensive and has almost no indonesian dishes on its menu (4 or 5 compared to 10 pizza variants and more western dishes)3) At check out , reception played a known dirty trick ; claiming the American express terminal did not work , and that they did not know how to manipulate the manual Amex slip device , and "so called" that bank's office was closed (10 AM in the morning on a weekday), they claimed I had not paid (while they had a signed slip ).They sent a strange guy collect the money in cash at the airport gate who claimed Amex payment on perfectly valid card used same day for other charges was denied . Come on ....

We have a specific Indonesian menu in our Vue Restaurant and will ensure we also feature more Indonesian items in our Spice Market and Room Service menus. Our Food & Beverage Manager is working on this and will be in place by 1st April 2012 - I do understand that this does not benefit you now.I do apologise for the inconvenience regarding the American Express machine. The EFTPOS machines can be unreliable at time, hence we have installed an ATM machine at the hotel and also replaced the EFTPOS machine to a GPRS connection to avoid using the phone lines. "Excellent"

The Hotel design is unique. like in Flint stone filmBeautiful beach with rocks on the left and right hand sides.The room is well designed ( after the renovation ), the lighting, the details of every furniture and interior materialsThe breakfast is good. If you want to have lunch and dinner out, the hotel staff will arrange to bring you to the surrounding restaurants

"Glad to leave Novotel Lombok..."

I found myself thankful to be leaving this hotel! The resort itself has so much potential and the rooms are great but it lacks so much in service! The whole resort lacks atmosphere. It was difficult to get served at the restaurant, reception were very unorganised, our room had not been cleaned when we returned at 4pm and had leaked from the rain aswell as having intermittent power failures. Once we complained we were looked after well but even than it was too late to enjoy our time. I would not return to this hotel and believe it not to be at Accor standard.

"Great Vacation, Breathtaking View"

We love our vacation at Lombok very much. The hotel gives a whole new atmosphere to us. The beach view was breathtaking. The pool is not that great but it's compensated by the beautiful beach. The quality of food really needs improvement. But, overall our experience was extremely awesome, and we don't need to go outside the hotel to enjoy Lombok. We just stayed at the hotel during our 2-day vacation there. Grreeeaatttt.....

"Great Hotel, Great Beach, Near to more Fabulous Beaches"

We loved the hotel. We had the newly renovated room. It's clean and really comfortable. It has a sofa bed which my 8 year old daughter can nicely sleep on while my 4 year old son can sleep with us on the king size bed. The location of the hotel is quite remote. So I highly recommend that anyone should hire a car or a motorbike. We had great time at the hotel beach which is very clean and beautiful. You can also borrow a canoe to play with the kids. The pools are also very nice. The only thing that I found is a little bit on the downside is the quality of the breakfast. I think it could be a tad better. Also the prices for the food in the restaurant is a bit too pricey. All in all, we all loved our stay and definitely stay here again.

First of all...2 THUMBS UP!!. I love the location, quiet and the beach was beautiful. Lovely for honeymoon or couple gateway. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The resort was clean and facilities was great. I love having breakfast at cafe chilli. The view by the beach was excellent!!. The kids so much in love with the swimming pools. Overall, the like everything about this place. Great job!!. Will come back for sure.

"Novotel Mandalika Resort"

The resort is awesome! The resort is completely designed with local Sasak culture of Lombok islands. It has many daily programs for guest such as "watching movies on the movie room", "breakfast on the hill" every Saturday morning. The hotel staff will bring you some exercise to the hill nearby the hotel and you will have a breakfast with a spectacular georgeous Seger beach. Also I had breakfast at the restaurant, there are american breakfast and also local food.. food is delicious and various. The hotel also has many great facilities such as nice pool, tennis table, and canoe...

"A beautiful location"

A paradise for nature lovers looking for quitenessand a good relaxationVery nice architecture with very nice and well kept garden.Good and friendly service;Basic rooms start to need refreshment and have no terrace/balcony. isolation is not perfect and noise (flushing toilet, heavy steps, voices, TV) from neighbours (upper floor, next door, corridor can be disturbing.Excellent food (breakfasts and buffets). Catering a bit expensive as there's anything else in the direct neighboorhood.Very clean incl. large and nice beach. Customer relation service not well updated on private leisure possibilities in the direct neigboorhood (cycling & walking on your own, local restaurant or transportation) and prefer to refer to agencies with whch i suppose they have their commission.A good vacation tip, a paradise but you have to know that you are far from everything
