"Good value in bora bora"

sofitel is a good option to stay in bora bora at a luxury hotel without breaking the bank. Location is good to explore the main island without need of a transfer. Small beaches, not perfect in orientation (sun goes down too early), but suffecient to have a bora bora experience.Room very comfortable. Toilet too small, some problem with bugs, but nothing too dramatic.During the same trip also stayed at four seasons bora bora... Much, much better, but accordingly more expensive. If you can afford, difference is justified and four seasons more recommended... But sofitel is good value for money and a very memorable place.

Stay on the Marara Beach part of Sofitel if you stay here. Limited staff and dining on the island. Not far to the mainland, but still a bit of a hassle since almost no service on the island. Do not pay extra for the romance package with in room breakfast if on the island as it does not happen.

Arriving in our own private plane (66 seat Air Tahiti Niu!) and then being whisked across the lagoon in the hotel launch was a very good start... Our bungalow was spacious, comfortable, clean, had great views, and many colourful fish below. The bar is very well situated and great for cocktails. The best thing about the Sofitel is the location - you can walk to a small supermarket, a lovely beach, 4 or 5 restaurants, and even the Intercontinental where we had a scrumptious lunch or two. Would definately return.
