"descending quality"

I have stayed in many Novotel chains, especially in Solo and Jogja. On this stay, I find that the quality of Novotel Solo has been descending. Dinner buffet is not fresh enough, which we could still accept given it was 8.30 PM and there were only another guest eating in the restaurant. However, service was slow and inattentive. We requested 3 times just for a tomato ketchup and chili sauce. Given there were no other guest, beside another person in the restaurant, we were deeply disappointed. Moreover, there were no regrets from the staff, as if we have never requested the item just minutes ago.The room itself, we booked 3 rooms, one room seems like there has been people using the rooms. The glass on the bar has liquids in it, unwashed, and there was ants on them. We had to call housekeeping at 9 PM to re-clean the particular area. As they used flooring and the bed is very light, the bed easily moves. As it moves, we discovered that the flooring under them are very dirty. It looks like they had never been cleaned. For a four-star hotel and part of Novotel chains, I don't think this is the normal room and service quality. Unfortunately, we would have to pick another hotel during our next visit in Solo.

An excellent hotel. Only I like to caution, those that use the hotel transport to the airport. I almost miss my fight. My fight is at 12 20 pm, I was suppose to be pickup at 11 am, and the transport arrange by the hotel did not turn up. However the quite think of the hotel front staff make alternative arrangement. I arrived at the adi surmano airport at about 11 45 am and in actual fact the check in counter was close, and with god grace the check in counter staff allow me to check in.

Valued for money! Would stay here again if I were to travel to Solo. Definitely a class of its own, food were fabulous, service were outstanding especially the business executive floor.

I already booked 1 room for 3 night stays (6-9 April 2012) on March 6 with quote column "upgrade room with accor advantage voucher". But when i came and check in very dissapointed the room which one i booked long time ago didnt response (full occupancy). I think novotel not professional, not prepared for the first order (first come first serve). very bad quality to serving the guest.

this hotels is good, but the interior is already oldiesu must do a renovation for the interior as soon as possiblei better choose ibis solo (3stars) than novotel solo (4stars)i think ibis is more valueable
"Small bathup & broken sink hole"

I wonder why novotel never realize broken bathup sink hole and water tap at the wastafel?At the bathroom theres a small bathup,But I think its value for money.I stayed at this hotel for a vacation, and my kids loved the novotel because wide bathup, but why in this hotel have a small bathup. But My son likes lcd tv and the food.Thanks had accompanied our stay at solo.
"Shower me with water, not sands"

Please check bathroom and make sure cleanliness of water from shower. Room Telephone was out of service, and when I call to hotel using my cell phone, there's no answer... Really dissatisfied. There's no quick solutions..

This is my second stay at Novotel Solo and the service offered by Novotel Solo was excellent.Kudos to the Front desk , Bell Boy , Housekeeping and last not least the Security personnel who are always smiling and will always greet you.Beakfast was good with variety of continental and local taste.
