"Nice break from Jakarta"

Just stayed for one night to get away from Jakarta. Staff were all very good, helpful and well mannered. The italian restaurant is fantastic. The grounds are beautifully maintained and lovely to relax in.

This was the 3rd time I stayed at the hotel. Every time I stay therel, the impression I got were less and less. At my last visit, when I checked in, the front desk officer, Nana, helped me process the check in for 7 rooms I booked, I asked her to just simply put the deposit of all those room reservations to my credit card. She insisted me to provide the ID for each reservation based on the name of the reservation even it shows that I am the one who paid for all the bill. Then looking at the long line and my last guest wasn't arrived yet at the lobby, I backed out and let other customer get the front desk line. A few minutes later when she is busy, I met a helpful front desk officer who was sitting on the side desk (customer service desk, I supposed). She asked me if she could help me w/ anything because she noticed I was standing there for a while already. The I said I simply just want to check in and have my credit card as the deposit for all the rooms I booked. Quickly she helped me check in and everything was smooth. I wish I remember her name, either Ms. Putri or Dewi.When we enter the room, my wife went to the restroom and was a bit bothered with a slight urine smell on the toilet and I found a hair ball on the drainage, then we contacted the front desk to clean them up. I believe the toilet area could have better air circulation if they install a small exhaust fan on the top of it, if they want to improve it. When I checked out, I tried to avoid Nana, male staff who helped me needed to leave the front desk when in the middle of processing all my bills, he transferred my bill processing to other officer next to him, which unfortunately is Nana again. When every bills was finally totaled, I was kind of looking for my credit cards, she reminded me that the line is long, many ppl r waiting, so if I cannot find the card, then she may let the next person in line served. Then I let her do that, and thought, hey since when u concerned about the line? Last time u served me when check in, u didn't simply let me to do check in for all the reservations, but asked me to provide every ID of my guests whose name stated on the reservation which made more ppl waiting.
"quiet location and great for kids"

The location is perfect to have a relaxing moment. They have complete facilities for kids. There was a lot of activities on the weekend. My kids enjoy the riding horse. The room was big and have a nice view. We have a great moment when stayed here.

We had a great time as a family and spending the weekend away from Jakarta.What we love the most is that we won't get stucked in the room as there are a lot of activities that we can do in a spacious little forest especially for children fom horse riding, swimming, children playground outdoor and indoor.A delightful buffet dinner with live music was one of the best part ending the day with a lot of activities.It's so close to Jakarta as there is no traffic jam to get there ,yet you feel so far away once you get there.

it's a great place to relaxed with best services, but the air conditioner isn't cold enoughi love the view, so relaxing and homeyit's really hard to get taxi, i must wait almost 2 hours, maybe the management should made a strict rule with taxi at least there must be 1-2 taxi standby for guest
"Cheated and misleaded by hotel website photos"

Photos on website are not representative of the real thing I got. I booked a superior room, in hopes of getting a larger room with large balconies that are able to fit a dining table and sofa (as was posted on the Novotel Bogor website). However, I was SO DISAPPOINTED when I first walked into my room. The balcony was so small; it seems that the balcony was made just for people to stand and lean onto the balcony. There was no room to even fit a person sitting on a chair in the balcony. Furthermore, the balcony was solid blocked. Not stripped and see-through like the photos that are posted on Novotel Bogor’s website. The view was a garden. If this is really the superior room, then Novotel Bogor had absolutely NO RIGHT to post false photos into fooling people to believe that they will be getting a large room with a large balcony, and on top of that showing the dining table and sofa on the balcony. Wifi connection wasn’t connected for the whole 24 hours, I had to be disconnected after 15mins of idling. Sometimes I got disconnected even when I’m actively using the wifi, which is annoying. Toilet was so small with no lock. Nice design of rooms though, with local wooden interior and modern facilities such as LCD TV with 45 satellite channels (not flat), and coffee & tea making facilities.
"My favorite hotel"

This is a great hotel with fantastic ambience. Every part of the hotel is so thoughtfully crafted with beautiful grounds and nice layout. It gives such a wonderful sense of well-being that I just want to stay on and on. The Italian restaurant is great with wood-fired thin-crusted pizza and such yummy bread. The bar, looking out to the green grass and trees is so therapeutic. My favourite hotel.View management response »

"Great weekend get-away from Jakarta"

We have been to the Novotel twice for the weekend. It is a lovely get-away from Jakarta. The pros:Decent pool (if a bit cold)Lovely groundsPlenty of activities for the kids (soccer, badminton, ping-pong, playground)Good food at the Italian restaurantThe cons: The WORST check-in and check-out efficiency of any hotel I've been to (I waited over 20 minutes to check out and I was only third in line)Rooms are a bit musty unless you leave the AC onIt takes almost an hour to get a meal at the Italian restaurant because there is only one person working in the kitchenWe've been before and will be back again but I would suggest they review their check-in and check-out procedures. Having one line as opposed to lining up for each service staff member and preparing bills in advance would be a good start.View management response »

"not satisfiying stay at novotel bogor"

the room was damp and dirty. i had to call housekeeping have it cleaned again. terrace was also dirty, many leaves and seeds.Breakfast was not satisfying either. i had to wait long before they clean the tables. the hospitalty from the employees was also poor.View management response »

"Used to be a good hotel"

"Excellent Family Hotel"

Secluded location makes Novotel Bogor peaceful, the air is clean and refreshing, the location comfortably quite far from crowdy area. These condition will definitely make you sleep like a baby.The room is quite spacy enough. King bed and one sofa that you can make into bed are enough for me, my wife and 2 daughters to have a good rest. My feedback is only for the bathroom which is a little bit too small with static shower.The service is very nice. Despite the fully book and crowded condition the front desk can still deliver a warm service. They provide a whole bunch of activities that you and your family can enjoy such as free bikes, cooking class for your children, movies session (again for your children to enjoy), trampoline, badminton field, swimming pool and off course a really big green grassy field that your children can go running off to. "Close to perfect"

I almost click up to 5 for all items questioned to me. However I do have few comments for the improvement of Novotel Bogor. My stay would even be much better if : * the bed is ensured very clean, no spot, dark mark on the bedsheet *the bathroom should be polished so that it's shiny enough*the service at the breakfast should be more pro-active and perhaps more people, so the drink and food are changed / refilled every second. Also you need to ensure all tables are tidy up as soon as possible.But overall i would suggest and recommend this hotel to family. Lots of great activities for kids.View management response »

"A Great Place for Family Holiday"

I came with my wife and our 2 toddlers.Even before checking in, my children already enjoys the atmosphere of Novotel Bogor, they plays at the garden with many statues also riding "becak".Checking in process goes really well and the officers are attentive to details also suggesting lots of family activities Novotel provides at the hotel. Two thumbs up for the receptions which also attends for my children and plays along with them.I stays at the first floor which has immediate access to garden and playground area which includes swimming pool, kids club, gym and other facilities. On weekend, Novotel provides many programs for family activities such as horse riding, children cooking class, story telling and etc. With my children occupied, the parents can enjoys other facilities, for me and my wife, we're relaxing at the bar, spa and swimming pool.The room, it's super clean and neat, with great lighting and new furnitures.The hotel staff were friendly with extensive knowledge of the hotel events, that really help us a lot since various events happens in many part of the hotel.Will be back for the next holiday!View management response »

"Great stay @ Novotel Bogor"

Excellent nature surroundings in the hotel!On our 1st night, our neighbor slept late through the night, so we can hear them talking until around 3 am through the balconies door, but nights afterwards were great. Cleanliness in the room is not superb but better than Puncak Pass cabins, hope the hotel can maintain great room cleanliness & furnishes =)Overall though, we had a great time with the kids & would love to come again in hope the quality of the hotel facilities & services is well maintained, even better continue to be improved =)Cheers!View management response »

I arrived at the hotel about 2PM to do the check in, but I got the room on 5PM after I chased the receptionist staff several times and heard lies reasons from the staff. I got the room number but the staff said the room is not ready yet. The room numbers are 445 and 447.after half an hour, I asked about the room, the staff said that they are cleaning the room, but I see no one is there in the room and do the cleaning. After another half an hour, I asked again about the room, and still received the same answer but still no one cleaning the room. After an hour after the last time I asked, I called again the receptionist asking about my room, and they still said the same reason, and I said to the staff that I do not see any one in the rooms do the cleaning. And the staff simply said "oh really?? I will have the cleaning service go there right away". An that time I saw people did the cleaning. After about half an hour, I saw no one in the room and I thought the cleaning process has finished and I called the receptionist, but they said the rooms are still not ready. Finally about 5PM I came to the receptionist and asked about my rooms and then they give me the keys with the reason "Sir, this is high season due to school holiday, please understand the situation". I know this is a high season, but I expect people in accor group can for with professionalism and commitment. No matter what happen, we have commitment that the the check in time is 2PM no matter what happen. I just can't believe that staff of accor group can give such a nonsense reason like that.You guys doesn't care what time we check in, but the guests must check out before 12PMView management response »

I booked a night at Novotel Bogor because my daughter had an event at nearby Gunung Geulis. I only realised it was not nearby after checking-in. There was no proper paved road connecting Novotel Bogor to Gunung Geulis Adventure Camp. My GPS almost brought me lost up the mountain. My experience was worsen because my 5 years old son had a fever. I requested to be allowed early check-in given my son's condition but the receptionist said that they were fully booked and we have to wait until 2 pm. So we sit at the lobby waiting for 2 pm and my son managed to pour out some vomit on the lobby floor. Five minutes later I have to request the cleaning lady to mob the vomit to avoid the smell. At 2 pm our room was ready and we check-in. My wife complained that the corner of the room was dusty and she had to mop it herself. The aircon was to cold for our feverish son and not much we can do to turn it down except turning it off. After a while it was to hot so we have to turn it on again, and so forth. It was a bad experience. The hotel itself was actually located in a secluded, refreshing, natural and peaceful environment, and it would have been an enjoyable stay if our son was in a healthy situation. But given his condition at the time and no sense of empathy at our time of check-in made the stay memorable in a bad way.View management response »

"Excellence quality, small swimming pool"
